This song is such a mouthful. Even in the recording it's fast, the vocals overlap each other. It's such a ridiculous thing to sing live, especially while dancing around with feather fans and bloody crumpets. You can really tell she has a hard time with it, which is why it's not so smooth (but live isn't supposed to be perfect anyways, but that's a completely different rant). However, it's all done in fun so it makes it okay. :3

@TheSickHumanBeing I think it's her singing live, if you listen to the recorded version her vocals are smoother. The backing trakc of the song is rather loud though so that could be it. I've listened to her in different songs and in those she definitely sings live so I would assume she does in this one too.

@RottenStrawberryP Well to me it's more the other way around, artists mostly perform but are not able to sing live at the same time =( However Emilie has a beautiful voice life which overpowers the tape and she doesn't playback ( except for unlaced but that has no lyrics, lol) But yeah, the way she performs is so interesting, plus her sense for humor on stage is incredible ^^

@RottenStrawberryP I agree with the other comment- most perform but can't sing. She has a burlesque/Broadway thing going on in her stage shows. Which is cool, gives a unique dramatic effect. But it's disappointing she doesn't play her instruments all the time and that there isn't live music. Going to Emilie shows is almost like going to a play I guess.

@xoruhtra Well, she definately sings live. The backing track can't really be created live as it's techno, drum beat etc. She plays the harpsichord and electric violin live, though.

Yeah, I know she sings live, and does (most of the) harpsichord live... and the violin. But a lot of the backing vocals on IKWYS are playbacks, which is unfortunate... but I actually saw her live on Monday and it was amazing nonetheless :)))
