These guys writing comments saying that they hate Swype, and switched to swift x are actually cheap ads made by swift x company and I saw them in more than one Swype video

Swype is so awful. I've used it for three months and finally downloaded Swift Key X, which is amazing. Swype has no technology to look at your writing pattern and constantly made mistakes. I always got the wrong your/you're or too/to. It always confused out/put/our/it. It was just a disaster and not customizable at all. Swift Key X knows exactly what I want to say, even when I'm only at like 25% accuracy and being super-sloppy. It has tons of custom features. Ditch Swype. Loving Swift Key X.

lol, I wrote this text in 22 seconds on my iphone like this guy.

Swype isn't "revolutionary" it is quite shit to be honest. It dosn't recognize words or shortened words and you can't write any other language than english on it.

@Frouza uhh.. Everyone knows that you can go faster on an iphone keyboard.. I'm pretty sure Swype was made for convenience more than to be faster than a regular soft keyboard. Being able to type at almost the same pace as a regular keyboard one-handed is pretty amazing. If you can beat this guy one handed then you can come back to this video and say Swype is shit.

@Frouza You seem to be fairly dumb. First, yes you can write other language on it (I use french swype keyboard) and you can even combine languages ( like english and french). Then, you can enter the most common shortened words in the swype dictionnary...like lol (laughing-out-loud) etc etc.... so they get recognized. And btw, it work very well, just like the iphone keyboard work very well too (you see im not a fanboy)

guess dumbs are on the 2 sides of the force (If you get what I mean)

@skrbicdu Damn straight dude, I had 3 iphones and had to hack to get simple functionality like SBSettings (which is awesome) - that kind of stuff? Built in to Android - and I can download my podcasts without a STUPID CABLE AND ITUNES and I can access my Android over \\ samba \ shares and I don't have some idiot in a turtle neck telling me what to do or not do. - so glad to have switched.

as much as i love swype it's almost impossible to use while walking/moving. I find I can type a hell of a lot faster using my blackberry's full qwerty while walking/moving because you dont need a steady hand and you don't even have to look.

@XxESKIMOxX you are supposed to already know that...as the keyboard layout is the same as your computer keyboard, wich I guess you used to write this. Unless you are very slow with your pc keyboard you are suposed to know it :P

GREAT video tip. This is the most important thing I learned about Swype. At first, I was trying too hard to be accurate. I tell everybody now, the key is to "Use the Force. Let go of your mind." I am using Swype now on a Samsung Galaxy S phone, and I dare say I may never go back to BlackBerry. Thanks for a great product.

@cbmyers321 I would emphatically say yes. I'm participating in the Beta and had the same thought. I have an HTC EVO and with a HUGE landscape keyboard I figured I was already fast enough, however with Swype in vertical mode I can type about 40 words a minute now (using an Android app to measure this). It feels very unnatural and sloppy at first but rapidly becomes second nature and learns new words making it a very very fast alternative to peck'n play keyboards
