Is "Cripes" considered a bad word in England or something? I can't recall where but I remember reading something that suggested it was somewhat of a curse word to some people...or something of that sort. I find myself cursing in German (oddly the word is only 1 of 3 German words I know) and if Cripes isn't such a bad word I'd like to change my "profound German language" to that simple word LOL.
I forgot Bruce Forsyth was in this! I think this proves he is actually a robot, seeing as he looks exactly the same age, nowadays it's just the updated version.. the bruceynice2c2000 which has the added moustache feature.
Thanks for the info: you'd think they could get this stuff right for DVD release, which tends to tout itself as THE medium for film preservation. Would it have been so much trouble to restore the colour balance? And to cheat the aspect ratio? Come on. Such laziness...still trying to market a project they don't believe in. Personally, I think this is a much better film than "Funny Girl" - the plots are very similar but this film is incredibly directed and the costume and production design - Wow!
This was taken from the DVD release. It has incorrect aspect ratio, colour values and sound mix. This sepia tone was added by someone at 20th Century Fox and is NOT original to the print.
The laserdisc was taken from the original 65mm camera negative and was approved by director Robert Wise before his death.
The DVD of this and subsequently this footage is a mess. If you want to see the film as it was presented, seek out the Laserdisc or a copy taken from it.

StevieNicksVisions...I believe Julie says "Ta!" and since I am English...let me tell you firsthand that this expression means "Thank you" ! ;)

What is she saying at 9:43? It sounds like tao or something... She says it again later on in the movie.

She's very pretty having her hair like that! It's as if she lived during the 40's where Hollywood had its Golden Age! I love that era.
