think its the same as semi alternate piacking .. U only use it when u play alternativ over more than one string.

So u dont dont cross over a string to stick the the regulare alternativ picking.. If u know what i mean.

Simply put, it's kind of like an interrupted sweep or small short bursts of sweeps with maybe one or two notes alternate picked in between.

@madtappingskillz = i believe its for example. if you are doing alternate picking like in the videos example you start on a string, pick up then down(say the low E) then when you go to the next string (the A string) you would do a down pick because the last note you picked on the previous low E string was a down pick and instead of picking up on the A string you would do a down pick because the previous down picked note would flow to the next string saving time rather than doing an up pick

@madtappingskillz = if you are playing 3 notes per string it depends on if you start with a down stroke or up stroke, and its depends on if your planning on descending after the hi e string. you will have to think ahead and plan all the down/up stokes to effectively incorporate ergonomic picking in what ever you are doing. honestly if your doing advanced technique like this i suggest you take private lessons so you can get the right information and visual example from a knowledgeable teacher.

it is the same as a 2string sweep; you do it when you cross strings; so 2 downstrokes when you ascend to the next string and the other way arround; timing is harder to control as by alternate picking, but you can push it really fast
