I do not personally own a PS3, but here is some troubleshooting tips, 1. Make sure you have your wireless router working properly. 2. Be sure there is no firewall. 3. If none of that works you can plug the ethernet cable into you PS3 so you will not have any issues. Hope this helps, I'm getting a PS3 tomorrow, if I have the same issue you are having ill do some research and if I fix it ill gladly help you out.

finally go to internet settings and click new connection go to scan on your ps3 and make sure you select your wireless router. now go over and insert the wpa or wep key. finally just use the recommended settings on the ps3 and you are done hope this info helped. any questions just send me a message anytime aight later. p.s. i don't have a ps3 anymore switched over to a 360 and i know networking for all three systems so feel free to ask for any of the systems.

simply take the modem cable you had and insert this cable into the modem and then into the router(the one port that says modem or has a different color). then plug a ethernet cable into one of the 4 ports and then one into the networking cable into back of your computer. finally you have wireless have your wpa or wep key ready (found on the instruction manual for the router and make sure you have already installed the router with the cd it came with).

once again you will need one ethernet cable both sides are male (find one at your local walmart) connect one end of the ethernet cat6 cable into the end of the ps3 and repeat the process with your modem. same rules apply to the wireless router now if you want wireless read my next comment
