@pnorwood33able.. you know what, stop being so critical. HES A PREACHER AND HAS THOUSANDS OF MEMBERS AT HIS CHURCH AND HAS TO GIVE THE PRACTICAL ADVICE FOR DAILY LIVING. Some people dont know how to connect the dots especially young people which is most of his church so they need someone that can tell them the things noone else will.

no offence, but what church you come from doesn't matter. I enjoyed what Mark had to say on prayer. For you to discredit the truth that was in what he said is foolish. I understand that as a Catholic you have more books in you bible than I do. But for you to claim that the catholic church has the only real authority to preach is idolatry, you are putting your religion above Jesus and what he had to say.

as mark would say, the things we make into idols aren't evil themselves, what is evil is the fact that we have made them into idols and are worshipping them. so it's not about not watching american idol, or even about not going on the show; it's about not worshipping the american pop star dream. being sure your life's glory, praise, and sacrifice is to the true God, not the american idol.
