So sad. After all the tubes were out, she had her eyes open and looked pretty alert. Looks like she may have almost won the fight. But, like her grave marker states--God only takes the best. She was beautiful on earth and now she's beautiful in Heaven. It's a tough defect to win. Hopefully, the doctors and surgeons continue to learn with each loss like this till there no more little babies lost

I'm not a liar because I am her older sister that's my mom who gave birth to her and I helped my mom with the video my name is shannon Michelle Myron and Caitlyn is my little sister who turned 7 July 11 I kinda seen her in the hospital but they didn't let kids under 12 into the nicu or anywhere else except to see their moms so if you don't believe me ask my mom on her channel!!!

I cried. My lil boy was born on the same exact day in 2003. He was Nicu for a week, left with one functioning kidney. I will be thinking of Caitlyn when her and Gabe turn six. Sorry for your loss.

omg this is so sad it made me cry all i can say is you a strong women may god bless your family. i my self dont know what i would do if i see my child in that situation. if from seen my father=grandfather after he had an open heart surgery with tube down his throat eyes close and such..i felt my life was taken out of me . i just felt apart.

To Caitlyn's Family...you are all in my heart. My little boy had his 1st surgery for HLHS 03/31/08. I can only imagine how much pain you felt losing your little girl after having her fight through the surgery. You have a beautiful angel.

My son passed away from Hypoplastic Left heart sydrome this last December. His name was Ryker. He was 7 weeks old, and just passed away for really no reason-heart function was fine(with taking everything into consideration!)Our hearts go out to yours!

My daughter, Adelle, was born with HLHS as well. She passed away at 15 days of age, she'd actually done remarkably well after her surgery. Her doctor's called her the poster-child for the Norwood Procedure, unfortunately complications arose. She passed away of unknown cause Oct. 18th 2007.

Wow! I was just doing a search for Caitlyn as that's my daughter's name, spelled the same way. Although your Caitlyn wasn't with you very long, from the pictures, I can see she was surrounding by a loving family. Yes, you do have an angel looking down over you every day! She will never be forgotten!
