Why? Just...why? Why would they just stop producing one of the greatest video game franchises ever? These terrific games can't go any further, but M. Night Shyamalan and Uwe Boll are still allowed to make movies? There's just no point. Rock Band is really just a bunch of unpleasant deathcore songs, while Guitar Hero is a great experience.

EA dropped Rock Band because they didn't think it was profitable either. Although, the RB franchise didn't dissolve like Guitar Hero, I think it's easy to blame one on the other, but I believe once EA and Activision got involved, despite the different business models, helped over-saturate the market with their music games. Rock Band 3 sales figures aren't that much better than Warriors of Rock, I believe, so to these companies, the market isn't there. Despite, who thinks what is better.

I'm not surprised by this. RB innovated while GH just went stale. How can you compete with a game that is offering more instruments, more DLC, pro mode, better graphics, better songs and overall better gameplay? You can't..period. I'm not saying RB put GH out of buisness because Activision had alot to with it by over saturateing the market with their game. But with more people playing RB over the past few years didn't help either.
