Why did the engineer blow the horn before entering the tunnel? Was that nessesary, or was he just doing it for fun? That announcer sounds the same as the one in the Lanta Metro busses in Easton. Is it the same one. And how do those boards that tell you which station it is work?
brings back memories of summer last year. Continental Airlines: London-Newark, NJT: Newark Intl - NY Penn, E train to 71 continental, Q23 to loubet st.

All of these trains honk their horns when entering & leaving the tunnel. The auto announment works fine.

@logo47 There's a little private or railroad-owned gravel road crossing before the tunnel, hence the crossing horn sequence.

....spent 2 days there and returned to NYC
