  • too bad the translation (which is the standar english one)is wrong on "You freely save those worthy of salvation". A correct translation would be "Who freely savest the redeemed" . There's no attribution of human worthiness in the latin text. And even more "gratis" is not about "freedom" as in speech, but as in "free beer", it means, "for no price". And that gives hope to man, for how could he justify himself before the "Rex Tremendae" ? But if salvation is a gift of Him, how dare man reject it?
