Ravster- if you are using NiMH batteries then you need to hook up the esc to your computer via the castle link and change the auto voltage cutoff from lipo to nimh. Otherwise you will only get a burst from your car then nothing. If you are going to buy the castle link, I propose buying the new field programming card as you can use this with a computer (for full custumizing) or in the field (for common changes). Oh yeah. The best part is that no matter what size motor you get, it's still the same price. It was worth every penny for me but I had the xl-5 with the titan brushed motor before. The ESC is fully customizable and its way faster.
