He had a bowed tendon and the night before the show it was a bit odd, but ok so I went anyway. THen after the stadium it swelled up for 2 hrs and wouldn't stop so he had to take 6 months leave... :( But we're doing well now! THanks!
Thanks!! I love him <3. He's kinda my mutt of a horse. He's mostly QH with 2 paints (which gave him like 4 small roan spots), and right off of his papers, he's TB.
not dressage particularly, and it depends on what I'm doing western. :) I love cattle work as much as I love my over all english stuff (jumping and dressage) But if those two re my only choice, then I think I prefer dressage
I think it's great you like all disciplines - makes a well rounded rider. - By the way, were some of those eventing clips in Las Cruces, New Mexico @ Isaack's Ranch???
he had a bowed tendon that went unnoticed for a long time. we saw it when it was cold and hard, but he had been working hard the whole time. At a show it began swelling for 2 hours. we had to scratch and he had to get 6 months off... He's all good now. We recently completed our first novice and we got 3rd :)
oh yea. my horse had i minor bow before christmas and it took 3 and half months to get back to jumping little xrails. and she had stall rest for a month and a half so i know how you feel
oh man im so sorry =[ i know how that goes, this entire year has been awful for my horse and i! but i hope ill see you guys at some events this coming year =] you guys looked awesome in this vid! do you think youll make it to coconino or grassride this year?
Yes. I'm going to the derby in Grassridge then the Coconinos as of right now. Today we jumped for the first time in over 6 months!! It was insane and slightly painful... He was.. excited to put it delicately.
my horse had an injury in that same leg! We were going over a brushbox out XC and he kicket it with his back legs and it hit his front leg and tore open his leg. He was lame for 7 months and couldnt be ridden for more than that. how long was your horse injured? what hapened ?
He's been injured for 6 months. He had an old bowed tendon that no one noticed, nothing ever happened. We noticed it before a show, but it was cool and hard by then. After stadium at the show, it swelled for 2 hours. He was done, and we had to scratch. I feel so sorry for you! Is he better now? Today I jumped for the first time in over 6 months!!
Oh yeah, hes much better now. And im happy to hear your horse is better too! It was a proud moment when patrick and i jumped our first fence, too, especially since i didnt even know he was gonna jump it XD ! We were going around the ring in the half seat (or 2point, whichever you use) and there was a fence on the quarter line and he just zipped over it! He really is silly!
Anyways, its good to hear your horse recovered. I know how frustrating it was for me, so you must have felt the same way!
lol I had to scratch from my first novice event after stadium b/c of this. We schooled training though.. It was an old bowed tendon that began swelling. Thank you so much!! :D
this is the best music horse video ever i actully cried my friend is subscribed to u keeva 2007 and i was gunna get on mine and she was signed in and i saw the subsciption thing so i watched it omg its sooo good i love horses peppers beautifull is she ok now
OMG, thank you so much! That means a lot to me. Yes Pepper is doing great now. We're on our way back. Hopefully we'll be able to jump again in about two weeks. :)
lol yeah. Thanks! There was a bowed tendon that went undetected until it was old and right before and event. Then, at the event, it swelled up for two hours. So I spent my birthday icing it... It was so minor, but it was just enough.
Oh man! That really stinks... I know someone who's horse used to be like that. In my PC, she made cards of injuries and asking what you should do if they happened to your horse. All but one card had happened to her horse. The one that hadn't was a nail punctures through the hoof.. That happened the next week. lol Good luck finding another horse! I hope your current one's "jinx" stops soon. :)
you are so lucky that you get to ride so often. great video.

Doesn't seem arrogant at all to me. :]
You were (and still are, I guess) a very diverse pair. It seems that you both did alot together.
Watching this video, I feel very sorry for your loss
but also very happy/hopeful for your return. ;]
Also, on a side and unimportant note, this makes me think of the song "Ghost of a good thing" by Dashboard Confessional.
