  • Great band, song, and video. But R.I.P Davy Jones, No one could successfully replace you back in 1967 (1:34 in this video) and certainly not now in 2012 (with these spoiled 21st century teen stars that are NOT about the music at all).

  • they were ahead of their time and seemed to have great ideas!! Yalecheerleder

  • nice to see this unique clip still here

such a band I can never get over their absolute power at this time they were peerless

equal to any one then or now if not better

    The Association

  • LOS ANGELES IS SINGING THIS SONG TODAY!! WINDY az all HECK!

  • "Who's peeking out from under my boxers? Everyone knows it's Willy."

  • love the video!

  • Grab the audio from this song at soundnabber doht cohm.

  • i hear that Larry Ramos was introduced like he's a japanese-american on the stage by other memeber. Is that truly so or is he one of chinese-american, Hawaiian or what? He looks like an asian to me. Anyway, their producing music are awesome and have high-qualities. You can see it if you hear their masterpiece such as 'Cherish' or 'Never my love' i luv their music and their good harmony too. they are truly a fantastic band.

  • @warwhatisthegoodfor If you search youtube for "Association - Along Comes Mary [Very Good quality]" (as of 5 Aug 11), they introduce Larry Ramos as stamped "Made in Japan" as a joke. However, he was born in Hawaii.

  • @NaHypochlorite thank you for your reply. i couldn't understand that part in the video. Aloha!!! anyway, i think Larry and someone with him sounds somewhat strong as a part of backing vocals in 'Windy' in one of youtube videos.

  • larry ramos and the mokees LMFAO

  • @OsiRisKinGz21 hey, monkees cant play instruments at all; they are merely a singing group not a band.

  • @warwhatisthegoodfor not true at all. They wrote the songs and played the instruments on their album called "headquarters".

  • @rasputinslovechild1

.While All The Monkees, played instruments

on the Headquarters, album, they didn't play everything.

The bass on Headquarters was played by producer Douglas Farthing Hatfield, under the name Chip Douglas.

Not that it matters, practically every US recording artist releases

from that era feature the same group of studio players.

Sometimes I wonder who we the fans are actually fans of, the artists knowingly ? the studio cats unknowingly ?

both with equal aplomb ? :)

  • @LNei , great point. I think many people are mesmerized by performers, hence the popularity of non talents like Milli Vanilli. As great talents that they were, where would the Beatles have gone without George Martin? The studio musicians, engineers and producers are the unsung hero's. Even huge stars like Jimi Hendrix and Jerry Garcia pitched in on other peoples songs. However, the point I was trying to make was the Monkees got a bad rap. They had talent and some great songs...

  • @rasputinslovechild1 maybe but the shit they have now would never even come close to these artist and milli vanilli i like them even though it was other singers doing there songs good question how many of these bands where really singing and if there records where not playing in the background mv was just like richard nixon he got caught and so did milli vanilli but the beatles and hendrix shit man they could even sing good in the shower if you put the radio on now ha the shit you will hear

  • those were simpler times

  • Nice song - great upload!

  • I want my MTV!.....wait a minute...this is 15 years before that!

  • hahahaha! ... Love "Windy": one of my favorite songs since I was a little girl .. ")

  • I think the announcer was Noal Harrison.

  • Comment removed

  • @geofbrit59 ..... looks like him, but don't know what show this is from ..... almost looks like "laugh in", but usually rowan or martin introduced groups, if i remember correctly

  • Too bad the hipper-than-thou types at Rolling Stone and Creem sneered at them so much at the time. They would have enjoyed more deserved success.

  • what the fuck? this is awesome. i've always loved the association. they are amazing.

  • Maybe these guys SHOULD have had a TV series like the Monkees.

  • Is this really from US TV?

    The announcer was British.

  • How is this song NOT about a hooker? God, I love Breaking Bad...

  • @maestrodagod Haha, exactly.

Breaking Bad. I hate how they leave you hanging at the end of each episode.

At the end of the season finally, I think Jesse shot him in the arm... So he can't cook anymore.

  • This is a great video. I have never seen this before! Wonderful. The Association are performing their first New York City appearance in over 10 years on friday July 23, 2010. The concert will be held at BB Kings New York NY. I have my tickets too.

  • It's "Windy"...not "Wendy". Hence the intro?

  • great great great post...never seen that footage before it was wonderful
