  • damn 4 jaces

  • Omg . KassemG's nose brother!!!!!

  • Chapin's nose appears to be longer than before.

Is he trying to steal Nassif's luck ?

  • It also makes your Halimar Depths better as well, put the cards on top that you want, draw them, shuffle away the rest.

  • @CRISSBLANEHATER People include fetch lands in decks that dont need them for deck thinning.

  • @mematguy That is completely wrong, it is to shuffle away unwanted cards after Brainstorming essentially making Jace's 0 ability read "Draw 3 cards, discard 2 cards." which is amazing. Deck thinning and countering opposing Jace's Fateseals are only nice side effects you get from running them and aren't really reasons to run them on their own.

  • @4TensCakes Yes.. that is what deck thinning is. Thinning the chances of you drawing cards that you don't need, including cards that you have already spotted with brainstorm that you do not want to draw. But I understand you may have just thought I meant thinning lands.

  • @mematguy Oh, I guess I misunderstood you. The definition of deck thinning is removing cards from your library, so I thought you were referring to the cards being removed (the lands).

  • JJAAAACCCEEEEEEEEEEE

  • watch?v=5XWUwsVFDpA

Selling collection with jace the mind scultor

  • Chapin is one of the best player in the world of magic !!

  • 4 Jace's and he is 4:1 this deck is great I have no clue why he didnt win this....

  • every1 stacks a little bit when the mix up their lands lol

  • Chapin knew before everyone, how powerful jace TMS would be

  • Exactly :)

  • Thanks chapin! BW control is more fun playing against than jund!

  • he looks like an unhappy burger king employee

  • @euclid514

    so every burger king employee

  • I am looking for Jace, the Mind Sculptor to trade with someone. If anyone has it, look at my videos on my channel to see what I am willing to trade for it. I will trade in your favor if that's what it takes. So if you have one and want to trade, PM me. Thanks!

  • 1 Jace=80$

    he heas FOUR

    I am not impressed

  • @Xajora At this time, Jace only went for $50.

It's the constant play in Legacy, Standard, Extended and even one of's in Vintage that makes him an $80 card.

  • @ThePortableOps

Yeah, It just sickens me to see somone with 4 black lotus, and 4 holo jaces exc.

At a casual tournement player I have seeen decks worth THOUSANDS of dollars, loose to a 5 cent mana leak.

  • @Xajora You're completely overlooking everything. Sure, commons can easily pitch Black Lotuses and Jace, The Mind Sculptor, but when you're not running these cards, you're at a severe disadvantage. I happen to have 3 Jace, The Mind Sculptors, and I consider it more of an investment than anything. I bought them at $50 a piece, and now they're worth $80, so I've made $90. Rarity is part of the game, and ultimately, this is an expensive hobby. Of course, playing, thinking and winning is what's fun.

  • @ThePortableOps

I play the game for fun, and as a social activity and challenge. Its great that you made money and im honsetly happy for you, but no hobby is worth thousands of dollars.

  • @Xajora Actually, it is. Magic: The Gathering, while being playable as a card game, is also a collecting game. I have friends at my local shop who have sets of Power, and I applaud them for it. If you don't think that it is worth thousands of dollars, I strongly suggest you sticking to low tier decks and rarely playing FNM. Sorry, but hobbies are expensive. Look at Worlds 2009. It was held in Rome, and it's not like Wizards flew them in. They had to pay their fares both ways.

  • @ThePortableOps

Point taken, My deck is about 150$ but there is a line.

  • @Xajora There is no line. It's a hobby, it can be taken as far as the person wants to.

Get over it, in the end, I just think you're some 13 year old who bitches because they lose to Jace, The Mind Sculptor and Baneslayer Angel (Which is $25 now, as supposed to $50, so you can stop complaining).

  • why use hat in door??

  • no cancel? no unsummon? no sleep or ice cage? more like whitew with some blue splashed in rather than a blue white deck

  • Lol, i just started playing mtg and i got jace, the mind sculpter in a worldwake pack yesterday :D still havnt gone to to my local gaming store and played magic yet but i will on friday cant wait to use jace

  • @theandwellman Just be extremely careful not to get scammed out of your value in a trade with that card.

  • I really enjoy reading what scrub players have to say about the card choices of a pro who thinks and plays on such a higher level than they do.

  • i seriously don't get it! Why does he run treasure hunt in this deck?? Did i missed something??

  • 26 lands and the ability to organize your top cards with halimar depths and jace lets u draw a lot with treasure hunt.

  • yea but imo you play treasure hunt when you KNOW that the tops cards are lands. i think this is unefficient in this deck.

  • ya you KNOW the top cards when u set them up with depths and jace

  • @Trajiq187 the reason for treasure hunt is to get lands out of the way and get to ur spells and try to draw into the creatures faster so u will stand a fighting chance late game and by the end of the game ur opponent has no way of winning and u jus hunt land land creature play creature hold counters removal and some lands keep their stuff off field and swing till u win

  • @Jdoss19 The way you talk it seems to be the best deck but i keep beating it with my poly deck. Period. treasure hunt < ponder

  • @Trajiq187 im not saying it is the best deck in the world. and if u r beating it all the time with ur poly deck then either a the other player is bad or b u catch them without a counter or removal spell

  • @Jdoss19 The other player is bad? LOL. May it be because i'm a good player? And also because i know how to build a deck? And how to play my deck versus serval popular deck? and because i have an efficient SB? And because im obviously not going off on the 4th turn trying to impress everyone with an emrakul turn 4 YOUHOUU! :/ and keep me 2-3 blue mana open for dispel and negate. Thanks for your imput.

  • @Trajiq187 The reason this deck is so good is bcuz its consistent and now with RotE out there is even better cards for the deck. Wall of Omens, All is Dust, and Deprive for late game. Ive ran poly and its good but if you are running emrakul in there you are a joke. Iona>Emrakul every day!

  • @PROxFESSxIONAL Progenitus still better than both. Progen > Iona > Emrakul

  • @PROxFESSxIONAL I played a U/G Polymorph deck 2 weeks ago and went 4-1. I played IONA PROGEN and EMRAKUL. The decks I played against were GRIXIS CONTROL,JUND,JUND, BOSS NAYA, and WW..... WW was the ONLY deck that beat me cause either my token was Pathed or EMRAKUL was O-RINGED. in my opinion ALL 3 belonged in a Polymorph deck you'd be an IDIOT not to play EMRAKUL in that deck.

  • @bcmaledragon ok Iona shuts down most decks. Grixis has uhhh jace to bounce it. Um you call black jund has not answers. Boss naya is a joke now but this is a month later. Polymorph decks are a joke anyway. Ok and @kevinkenny3 dude the way ur playn poly is bad. you dont poly 4th turn thats terrible. and you should run control with poly. much better

  • @PROxFESSxIONAL How is running Emrakul in polymorph a joke? More times than not, Polymorph is played turn 4 with a plant token from a Khalni Garden. By turn 4, Jund will have a Bloodbraid Elf with a Thrinax or putrid leech and 4 or 5 lands. At that point, its an automatic scoop for the .

  • @kevinkenny3 Except that when they figure out you're playing polymorph, they change the way they play and leave mana up for removal on your polymorph target. Brilliant Ultimatum is a much better way to cheat Emrakul into play because the deck also does much better things other than just that.

  • @canman87 That's why you run 2 vines of the vastwood main to work around spot removal.

  • @kevinkenny3 Won't always get you there. Running four also won't always get you there. Besides, if you're waiting around till turn 5-6 to polymorph with Vines/Negate backup, that might not be good enough anyway.

  • Patrick Chapin looks like a goblin LOL.

  • i wonder how you look?

  • Big fan of PC cant wait for extended next level magic i will def buy

  • man jace mindskulpter is a really expensive deck!

  • Patrick doesn't look right with hair..

  • Hehe, well he does look right wit UW control..

  • 420 page paperback, interesting. :)

  • wow - they're killing with this deck!

next level magic was awesome too - looking forward to the expanded version in print.

  • The full sideboard is 3 Baneslayer Angel, 4 Firewalker, 1 Perimeter Captain, 2 Mind Control, 2 Negate, 2 Essence Scatter, 1 Elspeth.

  • so what does the sideboard look like?

bdm is holding the board down, so you could see some cards or at least the color, 5 white cards and 4 blue cards. what do you think...

counting from bdm's left hand it looks like 3 baneslayer, 1 elspeth, one random white card, 1 mind control, i can't see the next two cards( both blue, should be at least one more mind control) and the first card looks like calcite snapper. what do you think??

  • What did he said about Baneslayer?

  • @KueS - you sideboard in against anybody... the basis is, if somebody is faster than your removal you run the slayer to Life link your way into a good position.

meaning he doesnt need baneslayer in the main, since most jund decks pack a ton of creature hate.

  • its more because everyone boards out their removal against you because you have no creatures and then you play baneslayer and they cant do anything about it

  • i thought he is going aggro this year

  • Why is Chapin so skinny with loose clothing? Awkward.

  • Finally, someone using Cancel! This deck looks great, I'm going to have to try something like it :D

  • @Veiwer77 - i havent played his version i played SLV's version and its a solid deck against Jund, there are some cards i would have swapped out my self, but the original LSV build was solid.

  • i love this guy. he's a greeat player

  • no walls of denial? interesting

    <3 Chapin

  • 4 Cancel, YEAH, win chapin, win.

  • oh and too bad noone has telemin performance in their sideboard.

  • i actually saw that win a game against a creatureless deck in legacy

and the first copy of it was countered lol

  • someone who watched all his interviews probably couldve guess most of the cards he was gonna play in his deck.

i.e the jace2.0, halimar, treasure, tectonic, chalice, man land

  • four Jaces... *.*

  • Oh man. A deck in standard that I actually LIKE? First one since Time Spiral...

  • Yay paperback.

  • Hopefully Chapin can finally win one again, since he really hasn't broken through since 07.

  • @WickedDealer he's still a mtg mastermind, i think he hasn't won simply because he doesn't want to.

  • awesome, gonna make it!

  • @pleaseandthankyou24 Good luck getting those Jaces, pricetag is 60$, but no one seems to want to let them go.
