One thing is dead certain: Israel's government remains highly incompetent in protecting their citizens. We have had now 10 years of Intifada, more or less continued, we have had the war of Lebanon in 2006, those strikes against Hamas in 2008-9, and a blockade on Gaza. Yet things remain unsolved, Israel is less secure today than it was in 2000, and it holds within a demographic retard bomb.

It seems it is a Law of Physics; governments can't do anything right!

That's a pretty short sighted statement, it's Israel that's had a three year blockade on Gaza, causing the desperate shortages of food, fuel and medicine.

Let's get this in perspective...

1. In the last 8 years, the rockets fired from Gaza have killed 20 civilians. Compare that to the ruthless blockade and the 1,700 Palestinians killed in Israeli military attacks since Jewish settlers were pulled out of Gaza three years ago.

2. The Israeli's broke the ceasefire in November.

3. Hamas has said it will stop the rocket attacks if the blockade is raised.

4. The government in Tel Aviv spent months laying the groundwork at home and abroad for the assault on Gaza with quiet but energetic lobbying of foreign administrations and diplomats

lol, I'm not sure about anyone else. If someone started throwing rocks at my house day after day...hell I would toss glass cups at them. Gaza was handed to Palestinian people and hamas took control. Isn't it that Hamas separated from representing itself in the Palestinian government? Check yourself my friend, If you look into it besides new agencies that don't like Israel, the blockades were due to ROCKET ATTACKS.

-Hamas then says, 'lift the blockade and we will stop'

EVEN THOUGH HAMAS STARTED IT. DO I want this? No I wish it would stop, but reaction is just apart of life and that is what Israel has done...Reacted to actions of a small little group that has taken its own people hostage.

Hamas didn't take control, they were democratically elected by the Palestinian people. The jewish settlers displaced the Palestinians 60 years ago. Who are they to "hand" Gaza to the palestinians? It's an illegal occupation. I don't condone violence of either side. But the firing of rockets by Hamas is an act of both desperation and retaliation. Palestinians are under heavy attack from a very well funded israeli military, being murdered at an exponential rate.

They've had major shortages of food and medicine and other provisions for years. These people are suffering. It's not hard to see which side it is that's behaving tyrannically, and which is the victim. It's a bloody war crime what the Israeli's are doing.
