@britrob24 Because the mainstream cultures in this world, esp in USA and even in Europe, albeit to a lesser extent, are still unsettled by affection between 2 guys. There may be a greater level of tolerance towards gay love in European communities. But it's *tolerance*, not complete recognition of equal status as heterosexuality. If the day comes where Rafael Nadal gets kissed on a court by a guy fan and no reporter asks him about it at a press conference, then there's complete equalisation.

Well this instance is obviously not related to romantic interest, it's merely admiration for another, so I don't think it's considered to be relevant to acceptance of homosexuality. More importantly, if Rafa Nadal gets kissed by a WOMAN running onto court and love-tackling him, he'd still be questioned about it. I think you're looking too deeply into it. I agree with your stance on acceptance but I don't think this is an applicable situation.

@britrob24 What makes you so sure it's non- romantic? I'd say it looks pretty romantically oriented even say for a Spanish or Italian guy. I have seen plenty how Spanish or Italian guys or for that matter, guys from very uninhibited cultures interact with one another. They are very passionate and carefree but doing something like that?? Nah. Very rarely will you see one guy actually pouncing another guy trying to squeeze in a kiss ON THE FACE.

Where else would he kiss him? The fact that it was only on the face makes it "non-romantic." A kiss on the lips or body would have been sensual. He pounced on him because he knew he was limited in his time to do it.

@trent8002003 How true. I met a few Spaniards, Italians, Russian, German guys/friends when I traveled and lived in Asia. Since I'm American I talked to them about these things and for them, greeting another male/friend kissing is a normal thing for them. And I was like Wow...Cool cause there's nothing wrong with friendly affection with friends but I'd never do that here LOLOL. But he's really cool.
