When I was watching this scene in the episode I was trying so hard to piece together what accent they had on their Cantonese. Guess it was just horrible, I couldn't make out at all what the guy was saying on the phone. My family's from Guangdong and Hong Kong and I have to say, I felt slightly offended by this (and I loved you so BBC, why did you do this?).

actually, their eng. isnt that bad. all azns have some sort of accent when they speak eng., native or not...im 1 of 'em non-natives and i have a lil accent thats barely noticeable but its there so...cant rly blame them...its rly fake tho. y cant they choose some1 who could act AND speak it????

I was surprised that they made the two speak "Cantonese", since it's not the Cantonese that try to smuggle into the UK, but more like people from the Fujian province.

And secondly, their Cantonese was really pathetic. The girl's English accent was too strong anyway.

It would probably be best to have sticked with English. I just couldn't take the two actors seriously.
