Look friend, I think you need to do the slightest bit of research on who is being held in Guantanamo. Most were turned in by their neighbors for a bounty with NO EVIDENCE WHATSOEVER. Some have already been released, in other words, just because Rumsfeld said these are the worst of the worst does not mean it is true. This sort of action has eroded the moral high ground we ever pretended to occupy. It also guarantees the sort of treatment our own people will receive, military or not.

Currently "American" values seem only to include torture, illegal war, unlawful imprisonment, slavery and kidnapping (look up Iraq Embassy), outright lying (Karl Rove ADMITS to dirty tricks), hypocrisy (Newt Gingrich was plooking an intern while prosecuting it), unlawfully surveilling its own citizens, and extreme religious fundamentalism. Republican values maybe, not American values, thank you.
