He is affiliated with some very strange Christian organizations, has proposed and supported some ridiculous legislation, and he would, no doubt in my mind, legislate based on his extreme worldview. I do not call for theocracy. I believe in secular government, as intended by the founders/framers. He has a right to his religious views. I have a right to use that as a basis to oppose someone like him.

@LLORT3 Here is the REAL effect of minimum wage laws. A Business owner makes $1,000 per week in profit.

He has 50 employees who make $290 per week at 40 hours and $7.25/hr.

A new wage law is passed raising the min wage to $7.75/hr.

50 employees making 50cents more per hour for 40hours = $ 1,000 profit that is no longer being made.

The business owner’s income is now ZERO and the business goes bankrupt – and NO one makes ANY money. OR (see next post)

OR the business man can raise his prices and a business from China can undercut his price and he goes out of business anyway.

ALSO raising the minimum wage raises the PRICES people pay for goods - and thus those people on low incomes must pay more for their purchases and are no better off anyway.THAT is reality - min wage does not help things it HURTS people
