I think they had a pretty good understanding that music is changing and how it's changing (the discussion of myspace, etc).
Everyone I know who is a serious music fan now finds music on myspace and various other music trading. The best thing said is that books became a niche market. Grindcore could never have survived in 1960. There would be no way to find enough fans everywhere.
However, today, it's huge. People can unite online. Niche music is now important.

myspace is limited in that they push ads down your throat just like j00tube.
though it can be a place to push new music, sure. just make sure you don't say anything against the marxist system.
