I am a working mom and I waited until my kids were in established in school before I went back to work. The work force is not going anywhere and it will go on without you. Motherhood is not a choice between work or saying home. When you go to work you go to work someone else is watching those kids, someone else is seeing all the first. When you go to work you are not at home -the choice is made-

A good point but there should be some kind of balance.
When I have children i would like to be at home too, and be able to see everything, but if my wife was at home too we would have no income and it would be irresponsible.
Society says the mother stays home and the father works, but seeing as women are in the workforce now, why not men staying home?
Anyway, I would like to think we would both go part time for a small bit anyway, as I dont want to miss a second of my childrens lives.
