I think this might be the best romantic movie besides somewhere in time...i cry every time at the end of the movie. I know only a few people really experience such a amazing love like a soul mate. if only life was like the movies..what a sweet symphony to the heart!
Me and my girlfriend fell asleep to this movie holding eachother.. I woke up to this song replaying over and over.. We've been together for only 8 months.. and we both have the same interest to stay together and grow old together....
No man is perfect. Not even Noah was perfect! Him and Allie are a very lovely, sweet couple in the movie, but they have their imperfections. They argued a lot, things didn't always work out...but it's the ability to get over those flaws and accept a person for all they are: that's real love :') because at the end of the day, nobody is perfect and you're asking for a lot, entering a relationship and expecting flowers & bunnies forever :P enjoy each little moment! just sayin'. ;)love this movie!<3

It seems love meant more back then, than it does now. Older couples have been together for 50 years, but more and more couples can't stay together for more than 5 years. I wonder why... I just hope I can find a man that I can grow old with and proudly say to our grandchildren that we have been together for 50 years.

We have met, but it made no difference because our relationship was already meaningful before. I've turned down a lot of guys before and during it, so I'm not desperate. I believe there are couples out there that are truly in love with each other. I spend alot of time with elderly people, and to watch them truly amazes me. I have seen them hold hands and hug each other and even give each other a kiss. I want to be like that with my husband. At nite I watch him sleep and I thank God for sending him to me. I'm so lucky.
If LOVE depicted in this movie is really the same as it is in actual life, I am so gonna plunge into the mystic world of LOVE. But then, reality check, it aint always the same. I love the idea of being inlove, but I certainly hate the pain that comes along with it. But every now and then, a movie such as this inspires us and gives us false hope. Then we are inlove. Sadly when it ends, no one is there to pick us up. Sitting in the corner, that's just us ALONE!

Hmmm, This is a beautiful movie, they both face issues and major problems that turns thier love/relationship into something more realistic, because its not always perfect. Love isn't always as romantic as this movie of course, but this wasnt set in our days-it was set in a simpler time, not in a large city either, they were young and it basically started off as a summer romance. I think this film inspires us to appreciate what we've got and maybe not take love for granted, as many usually do.

@AudreyRi you may be right. I saw a commercial and it said 1 in 5 relationships start over the internet. I also think that people don't try hard enough. They don't think about their vowes. When a vow says through thick and thin it doesnt just mean that you love that person during the happy times...you love that person through the bad times as well. people have forgotten this and are too quick to give up.

@AudreyRi That's unfair. You make it sound like internet relationships are for desperate losers. I'm in one now, we've been together for 2 years and we know each other inside out. We have met, but it made no difference because our relationship was already meaningful before. I've turned down a lot of guys before and during it, so I'm not desperate. Just because it's over the internet doesn't make it any less legit. People say it does, but they wouldn't know because they've never tried it.

I believe there are couples out there that are truly in love with each other. I spend alot of time with elderly people, and to watch them truly amazes me. I have seen them hold hands and hug each other and even give each other a kiss. I want to be like that with my husband. At nite I watch him sleep and I thank God for sending him to me. I'm so lucky.

If LOVE depicted in this movie is really the same as it is in actual life, I am so gonna plunge into the mystic world of LOVE. But then, reality check, it aint always the same. I love the idea of being inlove, but I certainly hate the pain that comes along with it. But every now and then, a movie such as this inspires us and gives us false hope. Then we are inlove. Sadly when it ends, no one is there to pick us up. Sitting in the corner, that's just us ALONE!

I agree, love is loves reward, but when it falls, the greatest feeling in heaven can be the most painful feeling imaginable, the worst feeling is to have BEEN happy I suppose, but its so unavoidable it is part of life. One who hasn't loved, hasn't lived.

Hmmm, This is a beautiful movie, they both face issues and major problems that turns thier love/relationship into something more realistic, because its not always perfect. Love isn't always as romantic as this movie of course, but this wasnt set in our days-it was set in a simpler time, not in a large city either, they were young and it basically started off as a summer romance. I think this film inspires us to appreciate what we've got and maybe not take love for granted, as many usually do.
