Hi does anyone know if this is the same hotel used in the 1971 Bond film Diomands Are Forever, where Lana Wood gets thrown out the window into the swimming pool?
Very nice. I stayed at the Tropicana in early May. After hearing about how horrible the rooms and place was I slipped the front desk person a $ 20 and got a nice upgrade to a tower room on the 18th floor. I'd go back again.
@bcl092 Employees at the front desk shouldn't be allowed to give you a 'free' upgrade just by slipping them a $20. I can't believe that person allowed it. If you want an upgrade, you pay the difference. Good review, but the room is looking dated.
@jcsdesign Oh well, that person did when I went two years ago. It was a nice room at that, I wouldn't care if it didn't work. I went to just sleep at night not have luxury. The Tropicana is in a good area of the strip where I like to stay.
@trynyte I was just thinking that the employee who did it should have charged the guest whatever the extra cost for the upgrade. Afterall, if you want the upgrade, you should be the one paying for it. Nothing comes for free.

@jcsdesign Why not? The Hotels in Vegas more than make their money in casino revenue, what is wrong with a free upgrade?
