Very cool. It looks like the pprogram writes directly into video memory and if the address is past the buffer region then is just wraps. That would explain the walk across the lower screen area to the top and back again. Well done. Very cool to see this hardware still running so well. What was the clock speed? Did this program time itself on the flyback/retrace signal or .. why is there no flicker?

I think that there's no flicker because it's not a tv signal that refreshes, the memory is always "on" so what's displayed is always on...I believe.
