Don't get me wrong - I love both of them and I love facts about them (e.g. Jackie broke every bone in his body doing stunts , except for two fingers). I'm just saying that Jackie is a bit too old for this kind of speed. But, on the other hand, he trained his whole life, so maybe it is true. There's one movie (can't remember the title :-/), where he trains on wing chun wooden dummy - I had to play it frame by frame to see his hands :-)
everyone says bruce lee was like the greatest fighter in the world but he wasnt entertaining and his jeet kun do was boring to watch, it was repetetive and slow and scripted half the time this keeps you on your feet and is fun so in my eyes jet li and jackie chan are better
@98645773 Real fighting is boring. The purpose of fighting is not to entertain, but to disable your opponent as soon as possible. Whether or not fighting on a movie is entertaining depends on the director and fighting choreographer, and not on the fighters. In real life Jet Li could kill you with one punch, but if the same fight was on film, it would last at least 5-10 minutes. The same goes for Jackie and every other martial arts actor.
@rojo90 For me, I don't think it's a movie mistake. Remember that this is like an enchanted movie. They are not ordinary people here. They are more of like, supernatural. So flying moves were really not a problem here in the movie. Just stating my opinion. Peace bro. =)
This fight pissed me off b/c Jackie used wire in the way he is usually against. Jackie Chan does us wires but he doesn't use them in his movies this way. This is a dynamic fight, it is more of a Jet Li style though.
Eh. At least the Drunken Fist bit of the fight didn't seem to make much use of it. My only gripe is that I wish the Drunken Fist bit were a little longer.
LOL AND THIS WAS THE SLOWED DOWN VERSION XD! They had to slow it down cause the producers couldn't keep up with it and thought it wouldn't be good other wise cause people wouldn't know what was happening XD!
when he did the praying mantis stance, that shit gave me chills. They're just way too good. Same thing with Jackie Chan, when he did the tiger stance I was like "OOh shit!!"
Actually there is an old movie where Jackie Chan and Jet Li had fought. I can't remember the movie name but I think that Jet Li won the fight but I can't be sertain. ^^
obviously jet li's moves are a little bit slower in this movie, not in his other movies wherein i cant see his movement..

How often and how well do you see their faces during the fight, in order to say that they are the ones that are fighting?

I'm really digging Jackie Chan's fighting style, which he does in one of his other movies, The Legend of the Drunken Master. Awesome.

You should see his original Drunken Master. Good Drunken Kung Fu!

Anyone else noticed the movie mistake at 4:43 ?
Still, it's good fight, but like Samuraimatt432 said, too bad that there's so much wirework

Bruce Lee kicked Jackie's ass once. Back when he was just a stuntman.
goidfiog 3 years ago 10
@goidfiog Jackie was a stuntman for Bruce Lee... so he did things that Bruce couldn't/wouldn't.
