  • Yeah try this diet in cold part of earth :P in my country in the winter can be -30C in Russia or Mongolia is much more colder....

  • But minerals aren't as easily absorbed when vitamins and enzymes that are meant to go along with them are killed. Certain things are assimilated hand-in-hand. If any part of it is destroyed, it's useless to the body, or at least not as good.

  • Some of them are not vegans, this is just about raw food. Some are raw vegan, some are raw, and some are raw with no animal products, but will eat bee prodcuts.

  • Ummm Maca Root is the SUPEREST of Super food I have ever had. That stimulates all the senses in your body instantaneously, and yes it does make yah horny, instantly. This is why I only take it at a certain time and NOT before exercise.

  • yeah just eliminating lame sugars from my diet,soda,doughnuts,any refined sugar helps me alot,i sleep better.and while im still drinking coffee,no milk except maybe soy or rice,maaybeee cows if thats all there is,no sugar.i cant handle mochas much.i feel shaky and grouchy afterwards.just my own with raw cocoa and agave and ive got to try yacon.thats my concentration to really begin raw,no shitty sugars.

    Eat lots of raw fruit and get all that sugar and age yourself, increasing insulin resistance.

    Sprouts? Sure if you like your daily dose of aflatoxin.

    Sprouts release poisons to keep themselves from being eaten..aflatoxins. Which by the way are measured ppB in Europe and ppM in US. Mother's milk is mostly Saturated Fat. Why deviate from the original food for a growing human?

    to my knowledge aflatoxin is produced by fungi species from aspergillus genus.

    Because I'm full grown. But there are some saturated fat in plants. And mothers milk has some un-saturated.

    Also, are YOU drinking mothers milk????? Cows milk is different....and much different after pasturized, homonogized, etc.

  • why do the mainstream dieticians always look less healthy than the 100% raw vegans? They say 100% raw vegan is not adequate. Makes it hard to believe their advice.

  • I really love this video and the message it sends out. Although it's promoting a raw lifestyle, it doesn't pull you in through glitz and unbelievable promises. It provides you info thru science and personal experience. It doesn't promote a pill or a miracle cure, just a healthier way of eating. Although, I do wish the youtube user allowed the physician to finish at the end to furthur explain her case on cooked foods. It's better to have both sides of the story to build your own opinion. =)

  • Yea. She mentioned cooked veggies and fruit. But you can eat these raw easily. Why do people think we can improve food, yet they beleive in a God that created the food in it's raw/natural state?

  • You can totally see the healthy look of the raw/living foodists in this video. I just would hate to see the day where there is pressure for a raw food expert or chef or whatever to look totally vibrant and happy all the time. That kind of pressure to maintain an "image" may create raw food celebrities with that creepy "evangelistic" grin I have seen on some late night T.V. shows........

  • I eat raw, organic eggs, cheese/milk, and fish and I get my protein that way. I also know man vegans that are unhealthy. It's how you PROCESS the food, not the food in it's natural state itself. I am a BIG believer in raw milk and I believe it ahs cured my asthma. You're right thoguh, those people talks about cooked foods in the end of the video looked unheathly. We ate raw thousands of eyars ago.

  • Why is there such an emphasis (in some RAW circles), on turning everything in to green smoothies and juice drinks ?

    Just wondering. Does it matter, if someone goes RAW and eats their fruits & vegetables, in whole form, rather than drinking it ?

  • I make a green smoothie every morning. I do it because kale and collard greens taste like crap by themselves, but if you mix them with an apple an a banana in your blender, it totally hides the taste and you get some healthy greens with your breakfast.

    Other than that, I don't juice much, and yeah, you'd probably be better off eating the whole fruit. I don't understand people who juice everything. You lose a lot of fiber that way.

  • Your body has to convert everything into liquids in order to digest it. Smoothies make is easier on your body to assimilate nutrients.

  • I think it's funny that they say "Nutritional experts recommend a more well rounded diet" lol, ... I agree the diet should be well-rounded, and contain immense variety, .. the problem is that the S.A.D. is NOT well rounded at all and most importantly conatains food which is harmful, namely all that's cooked and all that is from animal origin.

  • I have to agree that the nutritionist at the end of the video looks no where near as glowing and healthy as the raw food people.

    I just look at the faces and the energy of the two main presenters here and I can see they are very different to mainstream people.

    They appear passionate, lively, glowing, and of normal weight.

    I think I'll have what they're having.

  • That's exactly what I noticed! Someone else pointed that out to me too! And she gives no reason or explanation why she recomends a "more balancd approach" of raw and cooked!

  • this was a very nicely made, well balanced video. very well done. notice that the "nutritionists" are fat, lumpy and unhealthy looking and all the raw foodists are vibrant, their ideal weight, and glowing!

  • The nutritionist at the end does not look near as healthy as the raw foodies. You can see the proof merely in the appearance of all the raw foodies!

    There's a vid on Shazzie's site where during an interview the nutritionist and the interviewer are giving her a hard time and being snide about raw foods, but they look like dumpy frumps and Shazzie looks like a 19 year old.
