@redkalel well actually, he can fly in later games, and even in the anime. like sonic '06, or sonic adventure DX............yes i am a huge sonic fan. that's how i know this.

@redkalel if you go to the part in the volcano, you'll be able to play as knuckles somewhere in the game, an you need to fly to get to the lights. or in the legend the man tells you in soleanna as a request, you have to enter the one that says test of strength to play as knuckles. you can still fly.

Bobcat360, i think in the show Knuckles needs to be able to fly to do some things, but in the game Tails can already fly, so there isnt a need to make Knuckles fly too so he glides.
