  • mr bean policy trailer when in old years or something

  • This video makes you wonder what series of events led to the "No Surfing in the theater" rule.

  • Bert can't see crap with big bird in front of him.

  • There's a new Muppet policy trailer for their movie in November! It plays before the main show at AMC theatres!

  • @Fragglevision And also AMC's loews theaters!!!

  • I ever saw before Pullet Surprise short and Cats Don't Dance at Loews Theatres of March of 1997

  • I know when I saw "Space Jam"

  • Has anyone ever seen the Don't Forget to Watch the Movie policy of Sesame Street at Loews Theatres in spring 1994 before the Animaniacs short called I'm Mad and Thumbelina began?

  • It's really sad to see that all of the old LOEWSCINEPLEX chains go into the crapper, not much is left to enjoy...except maybe Regal and AMC ,that is!

  • Wow this takes me way back...thank you for posting this! I remember seeing before movies and all excited because of Jim Henson's presentation on what NOT to do in a movie theater!

  • wow, that Elmo is a real jerk.

  • 11 people forgot to watch the movie.

  • was this from the 90s?

  • @abehammy Yeah! 1996. How many children's movies does anyone remember premired in 1996

  • @ArticaSkylarKennedy Space Jam 101 Damatians Matilda Hunchback of Notre Dame Mighty Ducks 3 James and the Giant Peach Harriet the Spy Flipper Dunston Checks In Fly Away Home
  • @HCShannon Thank you, it's more likley that this policy was on Space Jam, Flipper and Dunston Checks in!

  • @ArticaSkylarKennedy I saw it when I saw 101 Dalmatians!

  • It would really suck to have to sit behind Big Bird, even in a theater with stadium seating.

  • I always crack up at Gladys the Cow in an Opera helmet!

  • LOL Earl the Dragon was smoking in the theater!

  • Comment removed

  • Does anybody have the other Loews Sesame Street short, "A Brief History of Motion Pictures? If so, could they please upload it to here?

It used to be here on YouTube, but it disappeared a long time ago.

  • Big Bird is so rude. Sitting in front of everyone like that? No one behind him is going to be able to see the movie.

  • @ScratStitch LOL!

  • Wow!!! I wish that I lived in America, just so I could go to the cinema and see this before a movie. You guys know how to do things with style, which is exactly what a trip to the cinema needs! God bless you!

  • i remember seeing this at many loews theatres. Another version has the Sony theaters name on it as well.

  • I LOVED that! I used to watch The Muppet Show, and Sesame Street, my niece used to watch Fraggle Rock, and now they show these cute muppet characters on Sprout every night. I love hearing A La La Lullaby.

  • What a policy this one is. There was some usual policy and funny policies.

  • Elmo's a real punk in this video.

  • (0:25 - 0:28): "I need to sit in the front, I'm a Shrimp!"

  • Let's renovate the place...

    with the customers inside...

  • That chair tasted horrible!

  • I think it's virtually impossible to do surfing, dancing with bears, singing grand opera, munching on chairs, doing seal impersonations, stuffing popcorn in your tuba, ripping off your buddy's nose and sticking it on some random stranger's face, operating a jackhammer, farting, making entire audiences disappear in a movie theater obviously

  • Great memories.

Anyone remember the Loews policy trailer from the mid 90's (I'm guessing this time)? It was old movie clips montaged together for each policy, like Hungry...and then there was a clip of Slimer from Ghostbusters eating a plate of food. Other clips were from From Here To Eternity, Network and I think ended with Peter Falk from Murder By Death saying, "I have to go to the can again; I don't want to miss nothin'." I wish someone posted that policy trailer too.

  • @LakesideBistro: I remember that trailer too.

  • there's another thing that the Muppets of Sesame Street did as a bumper thing for 'Loews', it involved the history of the cinema, starting with silent films, talkies, musicals, color, widescreen, etc. it was pretty neat cuz it had Cookie Monster in his Monsterpiece Theater role, and it had I think Grover as a cowboy with an actual cow or bull saying 'This town ain't big enough for the both of us' several times until it broke out into a musical number.

  • how the heck do you watch it at normal speed?

  • About the fast motion problem, it works fine when I watch this on my iTouch.

  • lol awesome, i used &fmt=18 at the end of the link and it plays fine.

  • JUST LIKE MAESTRO said..add " &fmt=18 " to the end of the link and it plays at NORMAL SPEED!!!

  • That's really cool.:)

  • Where can i get a good quality copy of this!

  • What? The picture is fast, but the sound is normal? What a gyp!

  • 0:47 O_o

  • Something wrong with the speed? It looks like it's in fast motion and doesnt seem to be matching the sound. Either that or my computer is possessed...

  • You're not alone, everyone. Im experiencing it, too!

  • Where can i get a high quality download of this!

  • FRIG, I gotta watch this high LOL

  • Is there a version that isn't fast?

  • Add =fmt=18 at the end of the URL.

  • Actually, I think it's &fmt=18

  • Oh, oops.

Wait, there's a high quality button now. 8B

  • Wtf. Why is Youtube destroying EVERYTHING.

  • Why's the video so fast??

  • Just add &fmt=18 at the end of the URL and it runs normal.

  • Wait A Minute!

WERE SERIOUSLY NOT ALLOWED TO EAT THE CHAIRS IN LOEWS THEATRES?! WHAT'S UP WITH THAT?!?!

  • Eating chairs is considered destruction of property.

  • This is so groovy!

  • Man, this is a some policy. No talking, smoking, littering, surfing, dancing with bears, singing grand opera, munching on chairs, doing seal impersonations, stuffing popcorn in your tuba, ripping off your buddy's nose and sticking it on some random stranger's face, operating a jackhammer, farting, making entire audiences disappear...and forgetting to watch the movie.

  • @Jigglypufflove33 Thanks for liking my comment! It was my most-liked comment of all time!

  • @Jigglypufflove33 You also forgot Don't chant "Movie movie movie", the very minute the movie starts! 2:21 LOL!

  • @ArticaSkylarKennedy Murdock from The A-Team didn't see that part.

  • I think they had this when I saw Sky High

  • I remember seeing this while I was seeing "Antz."

Beats the hell out of the policy they show at my local theater.

  • is it in the 90s?

  • By the time this policy trailer was created, what action films were popular?

  • Haha awesome!

  • Who shouted that last "Let's go!" that triggered the other Muppets to chant 'MOVIE! MOVIE! MOVIE!'? It looked like Herry since he appeared to be moving around a bit at the time it was said.

  • is it taken from

    enchanted or elmo in grouchland

  • movie movie movie movie hahaha

  • yeah..classic

  • What about the Open Season one that was hilarious

  • I love this so much =) Big Bird was kind of a jerk sitting in the front row though.

  • Hey! Big Bird is the Muppet King of Sesame Street,he deserves to sit in the front. As for Elmo,he's just his prince/lap-dog.

  • ... Anybody else think it's weird that they were telling children not to smoke in movie theaters? XD

  • I think that rule applies to any parents (or other adults in the audience) who smoke.

  • Anyone have the Sony/Loews Theaters one with the black and white movie clips? It was the one they showed before this one came out

  • That policy trailer with the old movie clips strung together about not eating and smoking was fantastic. I wonder if it'll ever pop up again. "I gotta go to the can again; I don't want to miss nothin'."

  • I was looking for this for a long time. Finally found it. What a jam.

  • It's been a few years since i've seen this before any movies. I'd rather watch that over and over than the crap they put before movies now a days.

  • Imagine what would happen if the movie was NC17....

  • Does anyone have the Consolidated Theaters "Coliseum" trailer?

  • I wish they bring back the other sesame street trailer "A Breif history of motion pictures" where cookie monster with marshl Grover and Fred the Wonder Horse about the movies though hostory.

  • big bird he said grab a seat

  • Don't you mean "any OR all" in the description

  • I remember these! They were great!

  • I wonder which movie were all those Muppets about to watch?

  • A Muppet Shining.

    "Here's Kermit!"

  • I saw this in front of the Star Wars special edition. Maybe its Star Wars?

  • No, Casino! Some guy on YouTube did a vid with Ernie and Bert acting out a scene from Casino! It was sooooo funny!

  • i guess this is the only Loews related trailer on youtube, and the most popular. I would love to see the Thank You For Coming to Sony policy trailer back when Loews changed its theaters to Sonys before the Loews Cineplex merger began. You know, the one with the old movie clips from Sony's library? How about the THank you for coming to loews ads from the 80's!!!

  • Where can I find the "This Town's Not Big Enough for All of Us" trailer? This one's cool too.

  • This has gotta be from between 1993 and 1998. It has all those "Around the Corner" characters, plus it uses the pre-1998 Baby Bear puppet.

  • I remember this back in 1994-1996 when I went to see The first Pokemon in the Loews movie theaters in Manhatan

  • This reminds me of the beginning of the 1979 family classic, The Muppet Movie! Muppet King Jim Henson was a Visionary, a Genius! May he always rest in peace in heaven!

  • "Pokemon" wasn't from 1994-1996!

  • It's from 1997-present.

  • PBS KIDS SPROUT

  • Oh shit! I forgot to watch the show =(

  • I remember this back in 1994 when I went to see The first Pokemon in the Loews movie theaters in Manhatan

  • You mean 1999?

  • I've been searching ALL OVER for this. THANKS SO MUCH for putting it up on YouTube!

  • oops placido flamingo sorry

and ok, putting bert and ernie in my comment was stupid of course they'd b in there and if Guy Smiley was in there i didn't c him

  • who else finds it weird that Guy Smiley wasn't in this?

  • "who else finds it weird that Guy Smiley wasn't in this?"

Guy had been retired by the time this was made, since no one had stepped in to replace Jim Henson as his performer.

  • Eric Jacobson has been chosen to perform Guy, but it doesn't seem to be perminant. And it was only for a couple promotional spots as well. However, they could have silently kept him as part of the audience. There are some rare characters here, like Mr. Between and Biff the construction worker. And a Dragon used from an unsold Henson produced TV pilot.

  • @booboo900 Actually I think I saw Guy in the far back row.

  • damn, talk about variety, herry monster, placido domingo, bert ernie, and a whole bunch of others

  • I remember this back in 1999 when I went to see The first Pokemon in the Loews movie theaters in Manhatan

  • They ran this when I went to see the (horribly enhanced) remake of Star Wars! --except it was backwards and upside down, because the moron who spliced it onto the Star Wars print and put it on the platter did so "tails out" >.<

  • @sneskid that happened to me today

  • I love the Muppets!

  • Strange. Very strange. Especially for a policy trailer. This is probably one of the longest, at almost 2:30! Still, you gotta give these guys credit. It's decent for its time.

  • Nice trailer, it's too bad the watermark kinda detracts from the viewing.

  • Was that a Chevy Impala logo I saw @ 43 seconds?

  • That same insignia was seen in the SS skit where Mr. Johnson gets his movie snacks from Grover - the hard way, of course!

  • Yay! Thanks so much for posting this! They don't have this at the movies anymoree. I miss it. Twas the best part.

  • Thank you for posting this. I have never seen it before and I was very entertained by it, as usual with the Muppets.

R.I.P. Jim Henson. Thanks for the memories.

  • This was made YEARS after he died!

  • It must be quite a few years old. They don't even mention "Don't record or videotape the movie, and if you see anyone else doing so, tell an usher right away." That's the only policy trailer they run at the movie theatres I go to.

  • "It must be quite a few years old. They don't even mention "Don't record or videotape the movie, and if you see anyone else doing so, tell an usher right away." That's the only policy trailer they run at the movie theatres I go to."

Well, going by certain clues, like what characters are there, what some of them look like, and the fact that the logo still says "CTW" (today it says "123"), I would place this in the mid-90s.

  • thanks for posting this! this is cute!

  • Back when this trailer was shown, i was watching movies EXCLUSIVELY at Loews theaters (( when there was a cheaper movie theater just 2 miles down the street )). 'Figured if the movie sucked, at least i got to see the muppets. Thanks so much for uploading this. 'Rumor is, this trailer will be included on the Muppet Show season 2 DVD. Boy, i hope so....

  • Guy, does this look like The Muppet Show? It's Sesame Street, you got the wrong show, buddy.

  • I've been looking for this for about 5 years!! I saw it once in the theatre and hoped to see it again... when it was done it got the biggest fuckin' applause..everyone loved it. It was a really positive way to express the rules and made everyone laugh so hard...especially when they told the seal to "not do this!" people were giggling for the longest time afterwards.

  • Sesame Street characters are muppets. He never said it was the Muppet SHOW

  • I never saw this at any Loews theatre, but it's still really cool.

  • This was pretty funny! I wished we'd seen that at the Loews we used to have in Rochester back during my childhood days.

  • I love this, I wish they still showed this at theatres!

  • There’s Sesame Street characters in that policy trailer. What if small children come to a Loew’s movie theatre to see a movie, they could see Big Bird, Elmo, Grover, Bert & Ernie, Cookie Monster on a big movie screen rather than seeing them on TV.

  • Yes small childern certanly would, But would they smoke, surf, dance with a bear, sing grand opra, munch on a chair or move seats?
