you want to watch a real cop show, one that stay true the police officers and has it's own wonderful personality? watch SOUTHLAND. once you get past the fact that one of the leads is from the OC you realise it doesn't matter, the show isn't all about him.

Maybe it wasn't as blatantly inconsistent as prior seasons but there was still something off about it...and frankly, I found the whole carnival storyline to be tedious during at least the middle third of the episodes. It just was NOT a storyline to pull back viewers who had grown to dislike the series.
Overall, I think the characters and their powers were manipulated to fit the random story instead of the other way around.

Everyone is writing about Heroes so I guess I'll add my 2 cents. And being that I saw EVERY episode and never once misseed a show......I'd say that it counts. Before the strike the show was about 90% abilities and 10% story but by the end it was 90% story and 10% abitlities. I watched that show to see people battle each other not just move this or fly from here to there. Maybe "no ordinary family" will be better.
@JohnTFolden lol im just being a killjoy...i can tell from the trailer that the selling point is the hot blonde......they just went for a hotter blonde than the one on "in plain sight" ...but im sure IPS is better, just from the fact that IPS is on cable and this is a network show......networks shows are not allowed to develop naturally, everything must be high rated or they get nervous and cancel a show.
@yankeesrule587 It certainly tends to be true that broadcast networks are more touchy about ratings, however, it still produces some good projects. They just tend to kill those good shows quicker if they aren't immediate hits. Marketing (hot blonde) and ratings potential don't equate with quality of the show itself, as I'm sure you'd agree.
