  • Ok :D thnxx

  • Wat Kind of string do u use? And btw ur vids r awsomee and reallllyy cleaarr !!!thnxx plz replay

  • @just4makingthings Materials I use in my videos will always be listed in the video description.

  • The colored lined beads in the finished example (at the start), I think I have similar ones - got them from Michael's. I LOVE them, but the color washes away after a few showers. Do yours do the same?

  • @EvolveDragonfly I don't shower with jewelry on... so I couldn't tell you.

  • you are so funny but great vid :D

  • Like any good Teacher you make this so easy! Well Done and this is so pretty, plenty good enough to make a nice gift!

  • thanks! Its so much easier than i thought

  • i love this so much more than the traditional wish bracelets where you braid and then just slide a bead in the middle and keep braiding bc the bead stays in place. Im gonna make a ton of these to give away for my LGBTS (lesbian gay bisexual straight) club at my school!

  • You dont show how you finish the ends. and i noticed you have put regular fasteners on.why dont you show how you did that?

  • @Jewelryfromheaven The ending braid is shown at 4:56

If you want to learn how to add crimp ends with clasps then I have that video here:

    /watch?v=j1H9-cYn1U8

  • Very helpful thanks:) I dont know why but you make me laugh haha... in a goodway.."they annoy me" hha x

  • @Pajarman I've got quirks... and I'm not afraid to show them. I guess it's funny but most of the time I'm being serious. =x lol

  • Oh,,, THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU!! So easy, clear way to explain! God bless You!!

  • you are a very talented young lady. I am an old fa&* and used to do this, but am having to relearn.

    Thank you, dear.

  • @azmarcoaz Haha... thank you. I'm glad I could help you refresh your memory.

  • @BeyondBracelets I dont have hemp string.... where do u get it??

  • @number1Lenfan The art store or the art section at any walmart.

  • Would it work if i just used 6 stranded embroidery floss instead of hemp stuff

  • Ok, so I think this is easy enough to teach my kiddos to do. coolness thankx!

  • @BeyondBracelets and I love your bracelets too. xx

  • @hcr4eva You can choose any color string and any color beads. Round beads sit a bit awkwardly, though. I think I'd stick to squares or beads with a semi-elongated part.

As for colors... if you like the colors go for it. Just experiment with it and find what you like. Some people have even used perler beads.

  • I used to make these bracelets with square knots, but this way is so much easier. Thank you.

  • does it matter which knot you do first (forward knot, backword knot)?

  • @craftairessandmore Not at first, no. When you make the rest it will probably affect it if you do them differently, though.

  • Very pretty i make these but i string the beads in the braid i will have to try it your way :)

  • ive just started watching your videos, and i love them, but can you please show me how to put a crimp bead on a hemp bracelet. im having a hard time believing that you just put the string in there and crimp it down, and it just stays? ive never practiced with crimp beads, i want to , i just cant find any vids to show me how to do it on anything other than wire. thanks :)

  • @brezi7777 I have a video on how to add crimp beads. Just search "How to add crimp ends" I think that's what I called it.

  • Do you have to use hemp string whatever it is called and what kind of beads or dose it not matter. GREAT VIDEO!!!!!! love them all i hope you make more!!!!!! <3

  • OH MY GOSH ITS SO PRETTY THAANKYOU!(:

  • Thanks so much for sharing this. I cant wait to try it !

  • @1975choni You're welcome. Have fun.

  • its so hard

  • @princessemobitch1 Sorry. If you tape or clip down the center string it works better.

  • @BeyondBracelets thanks i will try again :)

  • what are you clipping it down with

  • @ScrapinOMACindi Just a clipboard with some felt on it.

  • man you braid so fast o_o

  • @thetumbtumbtumb yh she did....

  • did u get the hemp from michaels

  • @hafsa1471 Yep.

  • @BeyondBracelets do you get everything from micheals?? i bet ur gonna say yep

  • @hafsa1471 Nope.

lol. I buy from Walmart, A.C. Moore, Hobby Lobby, Amazon, Ebay and sometimes weird places like the hardware store and sometimes thrift stores.

  • @BeyondBracelets lol i have only heard of three shops from the 6 u listed

  • i ment great

  • i wonder who disliked this vid....its a gread video

  • really cooooooool :D thank you....you know the string u used could i just use the stuff u use for friendship-bracelets

  • Where did you buy the glass beads from?

  • @majorcutie6060 Michaels

  • @BeyondBracelets Thank you(:

  • very good

  • Love The Fact That Your Using Primary Colors, They're My Favorite!

  • I recently made something similar but ran cake of bees wax along the cord first...made threading the beads onto the cord much easier. Great tutorial!

  • @darkgardyner Waxed thread definitely helps. I'm pretty sure the hemp I buy is waxed already.

  • u r awesome

hey check out my channel Jpzocm

  • Thanks! Mine looks great and my parents are really proud of me!:)

  • Going to try this as soon as I get some hemp and beads. Very easy to understand to make. Thank you!

  • @cherryblossom7242 Extend it? Add in more?

  • Where do you get the clasp from

  • @KuldensArtsandCrafts Art Stores/Walmart.

  • Thanks! this was a great tutorial, good to do for rainy day :)

  • Wow that was a fast braid and awesome tut!

  • Can you use paper beads for this? P:

  • @Kylmana12951 Yeah... just remember that paper beads aren't waterproof so you'd need to be careful with it.

  • @BeyondBracelets I don't wear any of my bracelets in the shower or to go swimming so I should be okay. :)

I just don't have any other beads. D:

  • @Kylmana12951 Yeah, then you should be fine. Washing hands carefully counts too, though. Have fun!

  • @BeyondBracelets I will make sure to wash my hands extra carefully! Thanks. :P

  • can you use another kind of string instead of hemp??

  • @TheiLuVsOdA You can try... hemp is just more sturdy so it works better for encasing the bead without falling to the back/sides funny. Try some 'sturdy' string like braiding cord I guess... but I personally prefer the hemp. Good luck.

  • @BeyondBracelets Thanks

  • @TheiLuVsOdA For me a normal ''woolly'' string worked

  • @Cupcakesweetable Thanks ill try it....

  • Lord knows I like my shiny :) lol

  • I love the hemp! You're right about the beach shops though! I live by the beach and the prices for those bracelets are ridicolous.

  • Your method is very helpful, and very easy to understand =] Thanks for posting this video, it really helped me out!

  • Thank you so much! This really helped!

  • Hey I really like that video but can you use a different kind of bead cuz I tried and it didn't look do good?

  • @Rings4567 You can try any sort of bead you want. Square ones would be interesting. I prefer glass regardless of type/style just because it is more shiny and lord knows I like my shiny.

  • Why did you sarape the clip brood at 0:35?

but thank you for that video it has helped me a lot

  • @tramper111 It's covered in felt. There was a fuzz that was bugging me.

  • This is so super neat. I also see great bracelets or necklaces in stores and think "I can do that" instead of paying mucho bucks. I like your vids because you really explain how to work the strings. Keep up the GREAT work.

  • whatt i hate about ur tutorials is that u dont show how to start them! -:[

  • @karen77603 I have a video on how to start them. If I cover it in each and every video that is 4 minutes of everyone's time wasted- once you see me do it you don't need to see it in every video so just go to my channel and click "New To Bracelets? Click!" and you'll see the 'missing' videos.

  • What size is the beads?

  • I tried this with embroidery thread and it worked perfectly fine

  • @joneagle52 I found when I did it the strings flopped to the back of the bead instead of staying on the sides. If it worked that's fine, I just know it didn't work well for me.

  • would 1mm leather cord work for this instead of hemp?

  • @biancaxx5 Depends on the beads you use I suppose... but I think the regular 6/0 beads would fit it. Leather isn't all that 'floppy' so it would probably work fine.

  • thats so cool :D

  • your pretty aysum!

  • @cherryblossom7242 I covered that in the video description.

"Q: Can I use embroidery floss like for friendship bracelets instead of hemp?

A: No. It's way too flimsy. You might be able to if you starch the strings to make them more firm but if you use them soft and natural they will just flop to the back of the bead instead of making a frame around it."

  • I don't wanna use hemp. I'm using embroidery floss. I don't care about warnings. (:

  • Fell in love with it!! Thanks(: Im going to make some for my friends because I'm very bored -.- Ahaha(: Might even give it to them for Christmas(: Just going to get a head start(;

  • @xoxosupermac18 Yeah, handmade jewelry makes an awesome gift. Some may say "cheap" but it takes a lot more effort to physically make something rather than just go to a store and say,"THAT ONE!"

  • where do you buy all your material, like string and stuff?

  • @alicia2oal Any art store should have them.

  • @BeyondBracelets yeaa they should, but the one thats closest to where i live only sells them in "value packs"... which i bought but i just wish they sold them on their own... or in small groups or something cuz the one i bought doesnt have some colours that i like.. ill try a different store tho thanks! :)

  • omg thxs sooo much! im gonna subscribe now! i sawa girl in my school wearing a bracelet with the same type of thing that u showd me how 2 do. and i wanted it sooo bad!!!!!! now i can make my own!!!!!!!!!

  • Thanks for the great video!!

  • Nice. I think I'lll try this.

Ebay has tons of beads in 6mm.

  • @loverofeverything15 I think I'll add this question to the description since a ton of people keep asking but...

No. It's too flimsy. You might be able to if you starch the strings and make them more firm but if you use them (soft and natural) they will just flop to the back of the bead instead of making a frame around it.

  • Super cute!

  • it's so easy and it looks so cool ! (: tanks !

  • where can i get those beads?!? ive been looking in walmart, micheals, hobby lobby, nd joan craft stores and i just cant find them:/ and wat other beads can i use??

  • @610NinjaLover I'm surprised you can't find these beads... Did you ask any of the employees in the stores? I'm pretty sure you missed them.

They're 6/0 sized seed beads... Just write down "6/0 Glass Beads" and show the workers in the store exactly what you're looking for. Chances are if you ask then they will be able to help you... especially if you can find the manager of the bead department.

  • @BeyondBracelets i asked in a couple of them nd they didnt know wat i was talking about. but ill try going and asking again soo becuz it was a couple of weeks ago. and thanks so much for the info it helps so much:)

  • @610NinjaLover Well, I found them on Amazon. Sorry you're having such a problem. You really need glass seed beads... not the tiny ones, though. It needs to fit hemp so they need to be a bigger glass bead. Did you try looking at the strings of beads hanging? You could bring some hemp and try to see if it will fit.

Sorry I can't be more helpful... locations can cause problems when you try to find certain things. Hope you find something that works out for you.

  • @BeyondBracelets well thanks for trying to help:)

  • I need to get some glass beads (because they're nicer looking than plastic beads) so I can try making one of these :o

  • @MattyKun1 Yeah, the glass beads give it a nice depth... the ones I had were the sort that have the inner part colored and the clear glass outside. I like the effect it gives.

  • Can they be waterproofed?

  • @hotdrumchick Hemp and glass beads are both naturally waterproofed items.

  • @BeyondBracelets I didn't know glass was waterproof.....thanks for sharing.

  • do u have to use hemp?

  • @Asingh1645 ikr??????

  • @truebeliber1000 I've answered that question about 'having' to use hemp in the comments many times.

  • @Asingh1645 Yes, you have to use hemp OR thick craft cord/something thicker and sturdy. Embroidery floss will not work it will flop to one side of the bead. You need the stiffness or it won't wrap around the bead.

  • thats smart. thanks

  • WOOO SICK

  • i love you!!! lol iv been trying to put beads on braclets and mine always look dumb x.x thanks thanks thanks!!

  • What size are those beads?

  • @Starwberry30 I believe those were 6/0 beads.

  • Ok thanks!

  • Do you remeber how much?

  • @Colorfuldots31 I'm not 100% but I think they were around $4.00 for a container a little bigger than a tic-tac mints container.

  • Ohhh kay thanks! Whered u get ur beads?

  • @Colorfuldots31 I got the beads at Michaels Arts & Crafts store.

  • Um is there a vid where it explains how to do a backward and frontward knot? Its confusing! And what aisledo you find the hemp string, how much and where do u buy it

  • @Colorfuldots31 Yes, there's a video I have on the four types of knots. Click the "New To Friendship Bracelets?" link on my banner and it will be under there in that playlist.

Hemp can get kind of expensive and the best price I found was at Walmart for a $8 and it was a little over 100 yards.

  • do you have to use hemp string or can you use embroidery floss? will it turn out the same?

  • @1235oreo You need to use hemp or something equally strong. The embroidery floss will flop to the back of the bead instead of being on the sides and encasing the bead.

  • very well explained and illustrated, thank you :)

  • I meant to say I liked it! Sry

  • I made it! I used glass beads. But will these big plastic beads work?

  • @ryepiesky123 You can use plastic beads it just won't be as "Fancy" looking since plastic tends to be more dull and less shiny.

  • Do you have a tutorial on how you attached the clasp?

Really cool bracelet, hopefully I'll make one today or tomorrow :)

  • @U2LedZep Yeah, search "BeyondBracelets Crimp Ends" and it should pop up.

  • @BeyondBracelets Cool, thanks.

  • Thanks so much my friend found one she wanted to trade it for something I said no so now I can make then PEACE AND BEADS!

  • @BeyondBracelets

    thanks you (:

  • how many beads do you suggest using?

  • @karahhhhx3 each bead I use is 1/8 of an inch about, so 8 beads per inch x's however many inches you need it to be. (8 multiplied by the number of how many inches you need. Standard 7 inch wrist (7x8=56) so it would be appx. 56 beads for a 7 inch bracelet. (If you're using the same beads I use.)

  • Thank you so much. You are a true artist.

  • Heh... Hemp... Like... Weeeeeed :3

  • thanks me to they have everything you need ;)

  • do you get your clasps and i guess ''hooks'' from michaels

  • @wgfmkmd Yep. I pretty much get everything artsy from Michael's (first) Walmart (second) A.C.Moore (third) and sometimes I find what I need at the hardware store or office supply stores... I love Michael's though.

  • thanks and are they exspensive*****

  • where do you get your beads

  • @wgfmkmd Michael's Arts & Crafts Store. (Sometimes I shop at A.C. Moore but I rarely find beads that I like there. I find Michael's in my area has the best selection when it comes to beading supplies.)

  • You sound depressed :/

  • @MissFredFlinstone It's tired/exhausted, honestly. I've got lots of health issues... and on top of that I don't sleep well because of it... so yeah. I guess it could come off as depressed.

  • LOVE IT!!! THANKS SO MUCH!!! (:

  • Hi my name is Joan and I did your beaded wrap bracelet tutorial 3 version except I used hemp string, seed beads and all the other tools used in this video. I did that because I was going to follow the instructions in this video but my middle hemp string was to thick to fit through the glass bead so I used elastic string for the middle. It turned out great, but could you please tell me how to make the bracelet wider? It would be really cool to see rows of the seed beads in 1 strap. Thanks. :D

  • @coffee180 Hm... I could try messing with patterns to make a wider version that looks decent. I never really thought of doing them in rows... it is probably possible I'd just need to think it through. I'll keep it in my notebook of ideas for tutorials.

  • @BeyondBracelets Thank you so much

  • do you have a tutorial on how to add that silver clasp you showed at the end? I have never used one, and would love to know what they are/how to put one on!!!! (:

  • @phelpsphan44 Yeah, check my video on how to add crimp ends.

  • ya ya i got it....thanks anyways....u r really kind:P

  • u r really good!!!!! i tried making this one by the ordinary floss.....i just cant make it can u please tell me the name of the floss...n also do tell wat can b used as a alternative???thanks n regards....

  • @neelipari25 The Beaded HEMP Wish Bracelet. =P

It's hemp. You can find it at pretty much any craft store by the beads and what not. I actually got my hemp from Walmart- but they only have dark brown and light 'natural' brown hemp. You can probably use some thick craft cord if you can't find hemp- It just needs to be stiff somewhat that is why hemp works the best.

  • i think i could do that

    thanks for helping

    <3 :)

  • it so simple!! and beautiful to see! i loved it!

  • Thank you for this video...I've been looking for some really cool bracelets to make for a friend of mine, and I think she would like this.

  • The beads are called seed beads if that helps any one who is looking for them they are very inexpensive:)

  • I bought mine off hippie shop!:)

  • where can i get glass beads in the uk? awesome tutorial!

  • @misspinkglitter19 I have no idea since I've never lived there or visited for that matter... but if you have any stores that deal with hobbies or jewelry making supplies should sell glass beads. If you can't seem to find it, try Google and see if any vendors are in your are... if not you can always look online and order that way.

  • @misspinkglitter19 Try dunelm mill, they usually have nice sets of assorted glass beads for under a fiver :)

  • can we use the same string we when we are making friendship bracelets

  • @amastla95 No, it's not stiff enough and won't wrap around the bead. Embroidery floss/craft thread will flop around to the back of the bead instead of framing it.

  • thanks so much! and i am sort-of getting stuck on how you do a forward and backward know. is there any videos that you reccomend i see to show me? or do you have a video already?
