Could someone help me please? Which shutters on the Warship opened and closed, so the engine could cool? I've been looking around for ages and have found not a lot relating to this! Thanks
When Iwas 9 years old, I rode in the cab of Onslaught from Paddington to Westbury with my Uncle Reg who was the driver. We actually went on to Castle Cary because of a crew mix up at Westbury. We returned in the cab of a Hymek. Not sure of the number ??? It was 1969 !!!!!
If you want to digitally age video, steer clear for the cheesy presets in Premier etc. These always feature scratch marks, but that's not really what makes film stock look old. Look at Southern Railway Films here on YouTube to see some genuine stuff and copy that. Try desaturating colour footage and playing around with contrast and gamma. Remove sound and avoid all long zoom shots and you might get close. It's as much about the style of shooting as the stock.
An often overlooked part of our railway history, the relatively short period between steam and the Inter City 125s when the Western Region was unique in using diesel hydraulic locomotives.
Wow cant believe how much ELR looks in this video. There is no road into platform 4. Shame the warship is away from the ELR and Prince and Teddy Bear are out of action. Maybe one day in the future!

This is a very nice video - but the background noise is very annoying - it sounds like a generator running all the time. 5** for the vid.
