Many independent Canadian releases are sponsored in some way by the government.. If you take a second to look in the CD jacket, there is usually a little thanks or logo of some sort stating where the funding came from. These guys just mad publicity for it and it's a crime that our government is still that far tied up in religion to force this recall.

I'd like to thank the bitch Ezra Levant for introducing me to such a fine band if these guys got a grant for 13 grand from our government props to them. It sure as hell beats a lot of crap that gets over played on the radio for simply being Canadian. Nickleback blows, Our Lady Peace sucks ass. Just because you choose to believe in a god doesn't mean we all have to. Heaven is a fairy tale for people afraid of the dark. Religion was man made to control the masses by using fear of consequence.

Consider the fact that they took that grant for the sake of furthering and spreading their music. What's more punk than doing what it takes to spread your message?

And you "angry taxpayers" paid less than 50 cents each for the betterment of Canadian music and culture. Get over it.

@drizz55 you have no right to talk shit. how does money have to do with the music they make? If you are wealthy that doesn't mean your life is great and without problems all of a sudden. I do not know if they are rich or not, but that fact has nothing to do with anyone liking the band. And if someone will give you money to release an album, why would you turn that down... Bands don't make a lot of money and they take what they can get. What you said is ignorant as fuck.

As a Canadian taxpayer who unwillingly payed for their new album I have every right to criticize their work. Furthermore, when they release a shock value record to purposely offend and upset a particular religious group they should be ready and able to defend themselves from criticism that they rightly deserve. Bands like this don't make a lot of money because they SUCK. They need to offend people in order to make themselves relevant to the public. It's as simple as that.
