Taijitsu is nothing, jitsu means "reality". I think that the english speaking people dlike to say taijitsu, jiujitsu, kenjitsu...because is easier for them.
Taijutsu (jutsu-art) is part of ninjutsu, aikido, jujutsu...

You can only do techniques so far when it comes to things like wrist breaks, and throat strikes. I wouldnt have called it randori though,... it is a little mild.
if you can get a wrist lock you could break if you chose and if you can hit the chin you could have hit the throat.What theyre doing in the video is useless,a joke to say the least,very little of what the chap is doing would work the way hes doing it.
Its obvious that you dont understand the art of Jujitsu. they are practicing TECHNIQUE. They are not fighting. They are practicing individual techniques in response to certain attacks. Jujitsu is often learned like building blocks. One technique at a time, and once you get good you can do many different techniques, from many possible attacks, at speed. What they are showing in the video looks useless to you, because you are uneducated as to what they are doing.
its because i understand it that im saying its useless.I trained in jap jj for about 2 years when nothing else was available.This compliant training method is completely futile beyond the early learning stage,.youll never get good doing it .Had the young lad done the techs against resistance he know immediately that most dont work and others he was doing wrong anyway.
I will concede you this though, some of the techniques in that video are not that good. And some do look worse because of the lack of speed... but again, you arent watching a fight, its practice.

Circle is just the way people position theirselves for the randori. It's just more convenient.
And actually you can use circles in your techniques without moving your whole body in a circle motion

okay but were is the circle? not circle at all, you need to look around and move in circle, more like aikido.

what's the difference between tai jitsu and taijutsu (which i know is the hand to hand combat part of the ninjutsu system) ?
ciro2481 2 years ago
@ciro2481
Tai Jitsu can be the hand to hand part of many styles, not only Ninjitsu. Here it comes from the Ju Jutsu of Minoru Mochizuki.

@ciro2481 There isn't a Taijitsu... Just Taijutsu.

Just Ninjutsu

For being a black belt, your exhibition looks dummy and all mess.

the aim was not to go as quick as possible, that's why the attacks (and so the defenses) are kind of slow

this is randori,does that mean free sparring,if so this is far fron it,sure theyre letting each other do the techniques
