i dont understand how u got the name for the sunflower? whats the fullname for sunflower?

@makedonserb With Helianthus annuus, what is usually called the flower is actually a flower head (also known as a composite flower) of numerous florets, (small flowers) crowded together. The outer petal-bearing florets are the sterile ray florets and can be yellow, red, orange, or other colors. The florets inside the circular head are called disc florets, which mature into seeds.

@gjoka2000 oh, ok, just wanted to make sure i understood because the macedonian word for sunflower does not contain ilios or athos, although ilios was a macedonian god as well.
