  • Shiye video by another lying traitor

  • NEWSNET SCOTLAND, spread the word folks...

  • I strongly advice all here to check out the "Newsnet Scotland" site regularly to keep up to date on anything Scottish, the independence movement, the rancid union, the lot ect.

They are the least biased source you'll come across and they'll publish what the British Brainwashing Corporation (BBC) wouldn't dare publish, like the Lockerbie Bomber scandal actually being a Westminster Labour decision and orchestrated to look like a Scottish move to attack the SNP, and the Labour leaders ethnic slurs.

  • The SNP have completed all manifesto commitments so far all 58 all completed all from an honest minority government.

The SNP's success makes this video look badly outdated, but I see it was uploaded over two years ago.

We clearly know that the SNP are far far better for Scotland than Labour ever will be, Labour have messed the UK up enough with 13 years of government, we don't want them to carry it on for more years in Scotland.

  • 7 up 10 down oach snp r going to win just admit its not just a political win its a revolution scotland says bye to westminster and his english unionist cronies

  • You really do talk some mince, keep it up as we are all having a good laugh

  • British and Scottish doesnt seem to understand very much abou politics.

  • SNP are plonkers, res ipsa loquitur

  • and who would you gather in government?

Even unionists (not bigoted ones like you though) can see that SNP is doing a better job than labour have ever doner and none of the other parties will stand a chance for another few decades.

It is a democratic right to have a refurrendum and if we are denied of independence even with a majority vote for because of correupt undemocratic westminster unionists you wouldnt complain? Because David Cameron etc. really have Scotland's best interests at heart?

  • Has the European Union got Scotlands interest at heart then?

  • The UK certainly doesnt

  • SNP retracted there statement whereby they would abolish unfair council tax...dobbers

  • Because don't you see atht despite this "union" bot English & Scots have preserved there independent identity, take the U.S.A for example they are a union many states and some of them acctually belonged to mexico and were never under imperial rule(British rule i should say)yet they know think of themselves as one country.Britain was a good idea but it has gotten old and corrupted, rather than assimalting the 4 nations into one independent country we each preserved our own identity that is why...

  • British unionism will always fail.I am proud of British history and what my ancestors done but im not proud of today's britain, where it stands globally and economically and i want out.

  • somebody's been watching A History of Scotland on BBC :P

  • Yeah lol they leave a few things out in some cases though.

  • Enjoyed the football today!

Like the Ibrox fans I was Born Under A Union Jack - and will die under one too!

And so will my children and their children after them.

    No Surrender!!

  • Um no.maybe if there was in the Dark ages/Early Middle ages. But if you hd any knowledge of Scottish History you would know that the Picts(Formely known as the Caledonians) and the Gaels(Scotii) were unified when two Pictish princes who had been exiled (they were too young to rule pictland in teh fathers absence)returned to otherthrow the usurper(a Gael) who had beeen turning Pictland into a Gaelic kingdom. However the boys had been raised in Ireland by Gaels so after overthrwoing the usurper..

  • They embraced the changes made to Pictland and unified the Western Gaels and Eastern Picts to form in the late 800's the Kingdom of Alba(Scotland).the Britons were the old inhabitants of England and make up the Welsh population today. But as it stands in modern day Britain which is all this arguement had too take in account without you confusing it,there are only 4 countries in Britain.

    Scotland,England,N.Ireland & Wales.

But im suer you knew all that already.

  • But your not making an political arguement so i dont have to match you in your "Knowledge".Scotlan isn't part of any "County" nd remember Britain is a union so tehre are 4 diffrent countries so again i say its not your business.

  • You need a slap like Hitler needed to get laid.I personally think that if your not from Scotland its not your business so give it a rest already.Yeah we're in debt but pffff nothing another illegal war can't solve eh Unionists eh?

    Jog on.

  • Mr Swinney couldn't count paper clips !

Scotland, Wales, England and Ireland side by side as we did in the trenches 90 years ago, all faiths and all cultures fought and died to preserve the freedoms we all enjoy today, shame on all those Nationalists who attempt to dilute our British way of life.

God Bless all HM Forces by past and present

  • Scotland - population 5 million/ GDP - $130 billion

    Wales - population 3 million/ GDP - $48 billion

    England - population 50 million/ GDP - $1.7 trillion

    Northern Ireland - population 1.7 million/ GDP - $33 billion

  • Scottish Nationalists seem to think the North Sea somehow makes them Saudi Arabia, it doesn't Scottish Oil accounts for 1.5% of GDP and less than 2% of taxes, and revenues are in decline.

At the same time the costs of extracting North Sea Oil is rising, clean up costs could be substantial and cars could run on alternatives within a generation, you can see the beginings already.

  • Other questions relate to taxes, as far as I can recall a good percentage of oil revenue is actually put on at the pumps rather than at source, so oil imported in to England would still be taxed in England wherever it came from, and the same is true of whisky and many other produce.

  • The Scottish currently raise £36.3 Billion it taxes, you can add total North Sea Oil Revenue to this, wgich is currently around £8.1 Billion (around £20 Billion GDP). That gives a total of £44.4 Billion, yet Scotland spends £47.7 Billion.

At the same time the UK covers costs such as Defence Spending, the current Scottish Budget doesn't need to meet such expenditure, and there are many other examples such as setting up of a Scottish Foreign Office etc.

  • It doesn't take a genius to work out, that Scotland would be a lot worse off, with lower public spending like Ireland, a poorer relationship with England, very little say in world affairs, high taxes etc and for what, because they hate England.

I like the Scots and find them decent people, but for heavens sake don't fall for Salmonds false promises.

  • Ooooooo! Some scary music and some figures from before the economic downturn occurred! Thats me thrown all my principles out the window!

Can I just add that neither the Scottish government, Scottish parliament or the First Minister is responsable for full economic policy in Scotland. That was the lookout of your pals in London who just happened to make a right hash of things!

  • Great Video. Forward Britannia.

  • hmm yeah... well thanks for the comment im still not sure what pills ive to be taking.. maybe the SNP should take a few reality pills and stop splashing out on independence symbols and actualy adress the real problems.

  • Would that be the problems that have been created and ignored by succsessive uk government for over 300 years? You want the SNP to have solved all of them within a year and without the full powers and resources of any other country??

FOOL! You can't see the wood for the trees!

  • Did i say that your kind of taking words from my mouth. I simply showed the results of the glasgow election where there were no other independence supporting partys standing or had any significant % of the vote.

  • The glasgow election. SNP : 11,277

    Labour : 10,912

    Conservatives : 1,639

    Lib Dems : 915

Now this looks impreseive for the SNP but if you work it out, the only independence supporting party has 11 thousand votes the Unionist Parties have combined over 13 thousand votes. So if you actualy do the math the Majority of the country is against independence and will vote no in 2010.

  • So, BnS, are you really telling us that no-one voting for other parties supports independence for Scotland? Patently untrue.

  • And if you work it out then you would see that the SNP managed to turn around a LIEbour majority of approx 10,000! If memory serves me that equates to a 26% swing! If repeated across the country at the next general election LIEbour will hold only one seat!

  • Well thank you very much mate, i apreciate your backing. We can ward away these nationalists who will ruin our great country if we work toghter.

Glad to see Glasgows backing also get the message around as many people of Glasgow as you can.

  • We will certianly be voting No on independence all my friends in glasgow, we support our Union and You BritishAndScottish.

    Glasgow Supports the Union!!!!.

  • glasgow supports the union? well we will save a fortune on holding a referendum in 2010? just ask lithgaescum how everyone will vote? yeah maybe down your lodge or rangers supporters club they might(although how many are telling the truth to you?) there will be three option on the paper(1) independence (2) change the status quo(3) no independence, 34% is enough to win independence! it was 39% in 1979? and snp are alot more popular now! don't worry you'll still get to have a march on the 12th!

  • Lmao Tarantess it is going to take more than a 34% result to win independence. 34% means 66% voted against independence.

The SNP do not have the majority they need to push through a referendum that will simply take advantage of splitting unionist votes

That would actually backfire on you separatists anyway. People would end up voting for the status quo instead of asking for more dissolved powers to ensure the union is defended

Long live the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland

  • I see what you mean now, 34% of the electorate rather than 34% of the vote. First of all can we be clear on something or perhaps im wrong? in the 1979 referendum the question was on devolution, not independence?

Just 34% of the electorate seems a bit low for a decission that will impact on every single citizen of Scotland and indeed the United Kingdom. I think it should need a bigger majority, but you guys are not going to win anyway =)

Perhaps the vote should be compulsary, so everyones heard

  • Yes by the back door because they are pumping out brain washing stunts to encourage people to think their way aand to vote yes in the referendum there for by the back door. Just like the Nazis rose to power democraticaly voted in by used back door tactics to achive that. Im sure you know many people who will vote for Independence but i also know a lot of people who are going to vote to keep our Union many young and many old.

  • the great thing about the snp that has impressed me above anything else! is that it is made up of white, black, asian, female, male, catholic, protestant, muslim & jew! being jew myself i'm well aware of what the nazis done in germany! i'm also aware of what new labour have done in iraq! and i'm aware of our german & greek royal family!the union is dead, bury it with some dignity!

  • As a jewish citizen are you glad that forces from Scotland, England, Wales and Ireland fought together under the union jack to fight Nazism in World War 2?

Had Scotland been an independent nation at the start of world war 2 like southern Ireland was these islands would of fallen to Nazi control. With the heart of the British empire under Nazi occupation, control of large parts of the world would of fallen to the nazis faster than Europe did

Our United Kingdom helped win WW2, defend that union

  • Ive also notticed a lot of your type has been

    "2010 - independence coming"

there going to be disapointed when all that happens is...

2010 finaly another Conserviative United Kingdom government (support cammeron 2010)

  • Im glad labour torrys and lib dems undermine everything the SNP try to do because all the SNP ever do is pump out bullshit brainwashing stunts to try and fool a nation in to their way of thinking. The SNP know they would lose hands down in an all out vote on independence right now so every single thing they do is a smoke screen for them to sneek independence by the back door in.

  • independence by the back door? through a referendum? earth calling stupid? you'll just have to hope that everyone in the lodge is telling the truth when they say their going to vote for the union(status quo), however i know many who are going to vote for independence:))

  • The part about indepednence by the backdoor was probably to do with Salmonds actions as First Minister which try to break up this union despite having NO mandate from the people of Scotland to do it. 60% of people in Scotland voted for parties which back the union.

Where the hell does he get off writting a letter to over 180 countries making a political statement about nuclear weapons and asking for support to give Scotland observer status at NPT meetings.

    Thats Independence by the backdoor.

  • One, the Scottish Government doesn't have tax raising powers, and relies on pocket money from Labour-controlled Westminster. The amount made available for Scotland was rather less than expected this year.

Two, the SNP are leading a minority government, and the Unpopular Front - the unholy alliance between the Lib Dems, Labour and Tories - undermines everything they try to do.

  • For instance, Edinburgh's new tram system will chew up £500 million. The SNP opposed it, on the grounds that Edinburgh already has an effective public transport system, and that this was just another expensive vanity project for the capital.

But they lost the vote, and Edinburgh is getting trams.

So the Unpopular Front undermines the SNP, and then attacks them for failing. Just the same as you do here.....

  • Well thanks for your input RiyWoodWig, however pish video pish anti scottish news doesn't actualy make that much sence. Any way im not anti scottish i am scottish .... i think someone has an extra chromosome.

  • PISH! Video pish anti scottish views

  • No im not willing to with draw the statment the SNP have done very little to aid the people of Scotland in this harsh Economic crisis the people of Scotlands lives are just the same as under the Scottish Labour party, The fact also remains student debt right off was promised to happen with in the first 100 days in office this promise won them nmany votes, here we are a year and 2 months later and student debt remains and the SNP's promise remains unfulfilled yet again.

  • I contend the fact that the SNP promised to clear student debt as one of their main manifesto points a point which gained them many voted and they have now done a U-Turn on it , i contend they promised 1,000 new police officers in their first 100 days in office another U-Turn i contend due to all the big promises they cant keep they are spending money so recklessly on islam hand outs and hundred grand signs.

  • So you're willing to retract your claims that Salmond has done nothing to aid peopole during the current economic climate?

What is exactly reckless about funding an excellent organisation that operates within the Muslim community? "Islam hand outs" is a phrase that reeks of xenophobia.

On student debt the SNP have taken great strides and made tangible progress but any possibly valid point you're attempting to make is lost in your poor argument.

  • Trying again are we?

I'd like to address one point that I didn't last time. You contend that Salmond has done nothing to aid people in the current difficult economic climate.

Actually, he's done far more than the UK Government. He has slashed business rates and frozen the council tax, these are measures that both strengthen business and provide respite for individuals. He has actually provided an economic stimulus package of sorts, a nice contrast to Brown's removal of the 10p tax band.
