I love the accidental fall, the zombies that fall was not scripted. He did a great job of being impromptu. Just a misjudgement on the actor's part he thought the platform was all the way down and went to simply step over. It is great that they didn't retake that scene. It actually more reality, the zombie not caring about the being close enough to step off, but rather wanting to get to his food.

One of the things I hated about this movie was, while it was good, the characters really weren't fleshed out very well. Why was Rhodes such a d-bag? Why did Miguel lose it at the end? As a viewer, I didn't feel any sort of remorse, love or hatred towards any of the characters because they were all one dimensional.

@FWHuisman Spot on, buddy. Killing Logan, the inhumane way he handled the whole Miguel affair, ordering Steele to kill an unarmed woman, then aiming a pistol at him for hesitating. This last one erases his one arguable redeeming quality: his loyalty to his men. But given these actions, and his leaving them behind as the end, suggests either a writing error of the character (which I WON'T accept about Romero :) or he was using this loyalty card to justify his outrageous actions. Utter cock.

Depending on weather or not the zombies got to Logan he would reanimate into a zombie, cause unlike some zombie films where you have to be bit to turn into a zombie on Romero's you become a zombie if you die but your brain is in tact or if you get bitten hence why when Steele shot that soilders in the head he didnt turn but the other soilder who was shot accidentley turned into one it was his head that Logan chopped off

I admit that the new Day of The Dead sucked monkey balls, but I think that with the Walking Dead TV series coming into season 2, and World War Z in production, it could help kickstart the old neurons in Romero's head for one last epic film. Imagine interviewing people form different backgrounds in different parts of the world on their experiences in and during the apocalypse. You really should look into buying the book, it's an awesome buy and worth every penny.

When I saw the pilot for The Walking Dead, first thing I thought of was "This one episode put everything George shelled out recently to shame." Land was alright, but it was simply too political for my taste. Maybe that's Romero's problem. He's always trying to add an underlying theme to his movies that the story itself blows.
