I like the opening with the deep 40Hz tone sounds just like how it did at the Empire Leicester Square in 70mm original JBL 13KW THX sound system. The score, as a nicely deep rich lows that accompany the strings horns and brassy sounds with low end authority.

I’ve heard about the new STAR TREK II edition on CD and will buy it soon! The samples here are 10 out 10 my cat Sooty gives it 5 paw THX approve!

Well after looking at the frequency response on this new album the low tone is at 41Hz then a few seconds in it drops down to 39Hz on the Spectrumlab directly connected to the sub bass on the AVR. Other instruments reach down to 35Hz but this is only sample not sure how the rest of the score will look until I buy the CD.

@FishfilmInc If I wanted to listen to the score opening I’ll play the PCM DOLBY STEREO ntsc widescreen laserdisc the bluray is rubbish because it has missing sound effect in one part of the film plus the film was never mixed or released in DOLBY 7.1 onto 70mm six track mag hence SIX-TRACK! Listen to German track where it has the missing sound effect not on English track and past DVD versions!

@FishfilmInc That so, well I;d have to listen to more of it. I like the isolated scores on DVD some bluray rubbish as some have removed the isolated scores on I, Robot which is only 424 on DVD, Glory had the 5.0 removed which is only on DVD yeah bluray the perfect scam format I rest my case.

I also recomend you "Star Trek III: The Search For Spock: 2 CD´s Edition" was recently edited by the same Label (around U$ 24.95 - intrada.com).
