@lfclikewalfc No clue, just ask your local insurance advisor or try to find some websites where you can calculate it for England. Like the english bank websites.
@lfclikewalfc Depends on your country, in Belgium it isn't really cheap to insure cause they look at the newprice of the car and the kilowat + driver age etc.
And all Benz's were expensive when first purchased.
In holland its a really cheap car to insure.. so really depends on your country :)
I have a question; is it true that if you are on the rear seats you have almost NO space for your legs? I am doubting buying this car to drive to school with 4 friends, but on the car forum where i 'm subscribed everyone says there is no space for your legs! I can't believe that, because i tought Mercedes's always offered decent space for the rear passengers!
@mpc007 If the 2 persons infront are 2 meter+ high and turn their seats all the way back, then there's almost no legspace...
I'm 1.80m and ppl can sit fine behind me, alot more space then the lunchboxes (aka golf, ibiza, corsa etc).. Ofcourse newer cars from that segment (new C-class, 3 serie) offer more space.. But the W201 is over 25 years old! For that time the space in the back is good imo. But no, you cannot strech your legs, or sit down like your in a S-class in the W201.

(i mean, if you, as a 1,80 meter person, are seating on the rear seat, are you then with your knees pushed in the front seat or is it just right?)
@mpc007 They should have enough space, they used the 190D as taxi for a long time.. But the W124 gives more space tho. But if this is your first car you can't go wrong, everyone else buys golf, ibiza and other compact cars.. which aren't bigger and alot less luxurious.
Just look for one in good shape, rust is a killer! The engines will outlast the car itself most of the time.

The speedo on NORMAL 2.3 is until 220, 2.3-16v is 260!
The ECONOMY METER was an OPTION, most of the 190's don't even have one...
@MercsDude I'm stripping it down atm and buying in parts. Gonna renew the suspension all around and remove all the rust we can find. Afterwards a new paintjob :) Not sure what i should do tho, keep the twone-tone side skirts or just go 199color on the whole car.
Ga je normaal wel perfect inkunnen, alleen het instappen vergt een beetje aanpassing (stuur heeft een vaste positie). Maar ivm hoofdruimte zal dit wel goed zitten.

i believe its 1.8lt because 1)the speedometer reaches 220 km/h and 2.3 reaches 260 km/h
2)the economy meter is missing and if anyone is interested in 190E he will definitely know that the economy meter is for 2.0lt 2.3lt and for 2.5lt
so this car is 1.8 thats why....:))))))))
