  • hell a monkey could play better slide than No-Good...Tune to E and play the 1-4-5...boy I'm impressed...Roy Rogers will eat his lunch and never break a sweat...

  • first caught eddie at buddy guys then at howards in BG. missed him the last time he swung through at hines farm but i will NOT make that mistake again! vaan does fly at 100mph but he still has the feel!

  • I used to sit in on harp for a few tunes when Eddie and the band would come by Howards Club H in Bowling Green, OH. He's the real deal alright and Vaan (if he'd just slow it down a little .... plays some very fine licks ... ha! maybe he has). Eddie love ya man. Hey and don't be bad mouthin. Mr Thorogood like the man said he was keepin' it on when nobody cared.

  • Eddie Shaw, Vaan Shaw, Shorty Lafayette and Tim Taylor can really play da blues...glad to hear it was Eddie who gave George his start...kind of like when John Mayall took Jimmy Page under his wing.

  • oh man..a classic

  • What the fuck are you smoking, Thorogood kicks ass.

  • You should have a little more respect. Thorogood, SRV, and Jimmie Vaghan were keeping blues alive & doin this shit back when no one cared !

  • yeah I agree , george and co have made great contributions to keeping the music alive--real music , not hiphopcrap with porn/video accompaniment.thorogoods live shows are great.

  • Thorogood has promoted the blues his entire career, giving credit to the masters who paved the way. Thanks to him, more people have been exposed to the blues and traditional bluesmen. GT has never claimed to be a great guitar player, but he can interpret the blues in such a way that he puts his unique mark on each song he covers. BTW, for 2005 and 2006, GT had the No. 1 CD on the Billboard blues chart, and in 2005, he was Billboard's top blues performer (in 2006, second only to BB King).

  • @kimglf guess who has outdone Gt..Joe Banamassa...look him up

  • @TheWyldeSlash I know Joe Bonamassa well. I've seen him several times. BTW, he filled in on tour with GT when GT's guitar player, Jim Suhler, got sick a few years ago. Said he had a blast and would fill in anytime. The way his career has taken off lately, I doubt he'd answer the call these days.

  • your a fuckin idot! PERIOD!!! I Dont disagree with your comments about Eddie Shaw but as far as thorogood goes, name me one fucker that does not have both feet in the grave that is a better slide player. And as far as live performance go nobody peforms like he does. These old timers should be thankful to George He is keeping their music alive today. Because the stuff they call music today is shit no stayin power. Nobody will be covering today junk. Who is gonna cover the backdoor boys.
