  • so i made this already twice following exactly what you say and my dough NEVER rises, the dough tastes awesome though I wonder what am I doing wrong? any ideas? i let it raise in warm place and it raises only a bit. so sad. it's like a really good pretzel :)

  • @TReczema try proofing the yeast for 10 minutes first with a little but of sugar in the amoun tof water the recipe calls for

  • @tximeleta35 Hi! Shabbas (also known as shabbat) is the jewish day of rest, every friday, around sunset, they light candles, says special shabbat blessings, and eat this bread together with wine. Afterwards they usually eat dinner.

    During shabbat they are traditionally not allowed to use electricity and cars (and a lot of other things).

    Shabbat last until the first stars are seen saturday night...

  • @tximeleta35 Challah is usually eaten as part of ceremonies or celebrations. Most of the time, it is eaten by itself, but while you are also eating other things. You eat it at room temperature. I saw that somebody answered what Shabbas is, and that answer was good.
