Actually this music kinda' sounds like Dexter's DANCE WITH THE DEVIL!

He kills so momentarily he dances with 'demons' (his) and the devil, but there is still!! that bit of good in him (where he kills because .....to save an innocent life/lives as Lundi so interestingly put it) so his reality brings him back to Earth where he is still 'human' though he has emotions.....he just doesn't feel them like the rest of us!

2. dexter had killed many people who were not killers. like the stalker of Astor, the bathroom guy whose only crime was to insult his dead wife, and was thinking of killing rita's neighbor too.
