remember being a little girl watching this which my dad had video taped on tv OVER AND OVER AND OVER AND OVER again, faced glued to the tv ... and now, all grown up, pops and i are going to watch it live with roger waters this summer.. SO STOKED!
@PeppersOnChili same here ;) my father "taped" it when it first screened on TV way back when...and still has it. I remember him being all technological and transferring it to his reel-to-reel at some stage too lol
I must make an effort to find a good copy of it...
@PeppersOnChili was that comment really necessary?? Does it make you feel like a champ to say derogatory things to people via your awesome keyboard? Yep you're a winner man, I wish I could make people feel like shit over the internet too! *thumbs up* for you!!
ute lemper did a very nice job here. VERY hard show to do with all different people. Some did great (Sinead O'conner was GREAT, Ute, Bryan Adams) and some sucked (Joni Mitchell, Van Morrison) but Roger is a genious doing this at the Berlin Wall after the communism fall.
@borbottante i saw this in L.A. in 1980 they played there for a little over a week.It only play 3 places on the original go round. We snorted so much coke during this show.I think Roger is Pink Floyd.Though the other members are great includng Sid..... And recieved checks until his death thanks to Rodger and David.
@elpuenteojedo Me too, nothing like performing The Wall infront of the Berlin Wall as it's being torn down. I'm just glad I'm old enough (only just) to remember this great turning of the page in History. I've got this on DVD somewhere and in the special features they interview Roger Waters telling all sorts of interesting stories, but where the stage is was, a month before, the "no mans land" between East and West Germany. They had to get it swept for mines before putting the stage up
@MrSystematica Amazing :) The special effects blew me away. The band was on top form and Roger Waters deserves an award for all he has done. A concert i will never forget.
It needs Gilmour, Mason, and Wright. It just aint the same...
