A friend of mine has whole house RO is worth it he says. Has to change all the filters once a month it's still worth it.

How long until we have a small, under counter unit that treats all the water in the house. You only have to go to Majorca or the Canaries to experience a really exhillarating shower. All their plumbed water is reverse osmosis. Far superior to salt softened water from a water softener. Kitchens and bathrooms always sparkling clean. Water evaporates of surfaces leaving nothing behind.
