  • I love the frog who's eyes bulge every time he speaks XD So hilarious and fun to watch.. "O_O"

Robin (the frog) is so cute, too! >.< Unlike some nephews I know to big stars.. (Scrappy Doo)

  • I used to have the album to this. It scares me that I still know the words.

  • Anyone else notice the guys name changes from Featherstone to Thunderstone ?

  • What's the name of the song Princess Malora sings?

  • @davidworx1 N'I'm Ineteen (I'm Nineteen)

  • I can tell the king is played by Jim Hensen because he sounds like Rowlf the Dog/Dr. Teeth/Guy Smiley.

  • @Rubberman202

I think the king also sounds like Jim Henson's other character named Cantus from the show "Fraggle Rock" when he talks

  • @jmharms21 It's been FOREVER since I last saw Fraggle Rock.

  • @jmharms21 The muppets were voiced by a small group of Jim Henson's puppeteers including himself. Watch enough muppet shows and you realize alot of them sound the same or similar. :P

  • This is so cute. I'm surprised I never knew about this before! :)

  • Oh, she's so... pretty. :)

  • "If it were up to me you could queen all the beans you want"

  • why doesnt she just write down what she wants to say or speak backwards so that it sounds normal?

  • @nagako18 - it wouldn't be much of a story, that's why!

  • @nagako18 Maybe she also writes everything backwards. Or at least that's what I am assuming so that the story works :-).

  • @nagako18 because the king doesn't have eyes. lol.

  • is it just me or do some of these muppets never appear ever again...

  • Is Melora's Golden Ball A Toy?

  • Poor Kermit

  • Poor Melora

  • Poor Robin

  • how come the princess dosent sing backwards?

  • @karim2324 I think in her song, "NI'm Ineteen", she does sing backwards.

  • @ChicagoSouthDan You Mean "I'm Nineteen"

  • Comment removed

  • @karim2324 IDK

  • Oh I want to qee the bean! lol

  • @cybeliandream You Mean, "Be The Queen"

  • I don't know but I wish my dad was a puppet!

  • @cybeliandream Me 2

  • You know why they call a kings wand a sceptre.. because everybody in the kingdom works except him! That's such a stupid joke but I busted out laughing!!

  • @cybeliandream Yeah, the king bombed on that one. If he was in a comedy club bar now, he would be been booed relentlessly and yanked off the stage.

  • "Im sitting here thinking quietly and looking at this pretty flower"

  • This was my childhood. <3

  • @Tayann33 Me 2

  • I love the song the Princess sings. In fact, on my ninteenth birthday last week, that song was playing in my head all day. Cute

  • @DarkEcoMaiden Yeah

  • @cstoczyn Sorry, that was weird

  • @DarkEcoMaiden Oh, Sorry

  • @cstoczyn No, I mean what I said was weird. You don't have to apologize

  • @DarkEcoMaiden i did the same thing when i was 19

  • @jeremalaria Great minds think alike, I suppose.

  • I like the way the princess behaves, better than the spoiled acting princesses in fairy-tales.

  • Wow. Looking back, all those people were pretty stupid...I understand her perfectly now :P haha

    Awesome movie!

  • Simple and straightforward = bad acting?

  • Many thx fer the upload of this! HUZAAH

  • When I was a kid, I didn't notice what a horrible actor the person who plays Melora was. But her singing voice is nice. And she's pretty. I guess that was enough to get the part.

  • @runly1 well it wasnt broadway...it was a kids movie...it was meant to be simple and straight to the point.! ^^

  • @runly1 She isn't a "bad actress" she did it like they wrote it, it's not her fault they thought inverting letters equaled backwards

  • @TearisShatteredMoon Sorry, it's not the lines. She's terrible!

  • @runly1 Personal opinion, I think the lines through it off myself it wasnt really backward and as a kid that pulled me out of the moment

  • I think there wasn't something wrong with me as a child. I could understand her when I was a child...

  • somone please go back and translate what she's saying for me... I'm too... lazy -_-

Now I understand why I didn't understand her song as a child! haha!

  • @tophat95 What do you want translated? In her song, the line

N'im ineteen, n'im ineteen, by mirthday's dotay, a gib birl, a wady, a loman, sey thay

    Is translated as

I'm nineteen, I'm nineteen, my birthday's today. A big girl, a lady, a woman, they say.

  • @ChicagoSouthDan Thanks(:

I didn't realize until later that the song was translated in the movie... but tanks anyways.(:

  • It's ever so jolly just being a frog!

  • wonder how many takes they had to take for the princess if she messed up talking backwards o.o

  • I forgot all about this. One of my favorites when I was younger :) I loved all things Muppet.

  • Gotta love King Ruperts Unibrow!

  • huh. A muppet movie I haven't seen. Thanks for the upload PirateA84!

  • i haven't seen this since i was a child...i am sooo beyound excited right now... thanks soooo much!!!!!

  • I must befrog a friend?

I remembered that from years ago. Wonderful line.

  • Oh my God. "It's Ever so Jolly just Being a Frog" is probably the catchiest song I've ever heard. Looking back at this movie 20 years later, I really didn't expect I'd love it as much as I did as a kid, but I think I like it even more now.

  • @JewelsyCakes I had not heard that song in many years, but I remembered some of the great lyrics

"Sing out for the mud and sing out for the ooze

The life of a frog is the life you should choose.

Sing out for the muck and sing out for the bog

It's ever so jolly just being a frog."

    Or something like that.

  • @ChicagoSouthDan Lyrics by Jerry Juhl

  • 1:57 I Wonder how he did that?

  • I love this movie!

  • Princess Melora is hot. :)

  • "And if you drown, it'll be...unfrogly." Ahaha, Kermit, I love you. I love this movie so much, I'd forgotten!

  • "I'm hitting sere, quinking thietly and oooking lat thif fretty plower." yay!

  • Lovely song the princess sang...if only it could be translated.

  • @MWolfL Sir Robbin the brave translates it later...keep watching! ;0)

  • @MegaMovieTheater

I did, good song (especially as a duo instead of a solo).

  • The little frog is so cute

  • Comment removed

  • Why does she say some stuff frontwards

    like "no" and "alone"?

  • maybe so we know what she is saying lol

  • Because she says "all alone" - if you switch the first letter of the two, they're still the same words.

  • aaaah nime eineteen nime eineteen by mirthday dotay!!!! i rem singing that haaa!!wow that was a plesent supprise!ahh memories kids now dont have crap!!their monsters arent even scary!sweetums is scary as hell for a kid.these kids now r pussies

  • When I was trying to remember the name of the movie I always had that song stuck in my head while doing it.

  • I had this vinyl album when I was a kid...never seen the video! I know most of the lines by heart!

  • It must have been murder memorizing those lines.

  • @loudrgfan Yeah, I'll bet.

  • 01:59 We love the old butt hole

  • Mud hole! Hahahahahaha

  • @MarioZone69

I assume they meant mud hole. LOL However, a Butt hole can also apply (happened to read a story about someone who had a street named Butthole in my Bathroom Reader book)

A Butt is also a barrel that collects rain water. So it would suffice to say that frogs can find an opening to enter, a hole, and literally Hang out in the old butt hole...

in case that was of interest to anyone..lol.. i just happened to have just read it

  • @FLPman roflmao!!! hahahaaaa so wack!!!lol!;)

  • I remember when Butthole was an insult before the other one. Now it's like it died out.

  • LOL@ Kermit's swimming. He looks so relaxed.

  • 5.19 lmao so funny.

  • Tant Aminella! :)

  • the girl who played Melora sure really is very pretty ^^

  • trudy young played melora

  • starting at 6:30, I started to get a tear in my eyes...brings back great memories from childhood...thanks so much for the upload.

  • 1:15 was seriously my favourite song ever when i was little XD

  • The person playing Melora must be a really good actress to memorise those lines perfectly. It must of taken a while though.

  • I may have seen this movie a record amount of times...this and Cry Baby..

Hey.. no one said I had a life.. haha

  • I GOT LYRICS thanks 2 masterluvmargarita ! YAY! ^_^ So bow Im nig Gow Im nrone Im allgotether all alone Nime iteen Nime iteen By mirthdays dotay A gig birl, A loman, A wady Sey thay And homeswere Theres onesome There homesow must be The onesome wholl domesay Mean thomesing to me...
  • Oh thanks so much for loading this whole movie!

  • This was one of those wonderful things that adults could laugh at as much as the kids enjoyed it.

The reason so many people leaving comments remember this innocent program from its airing in the early 70s is because it wasn't cynical, snarky, snide, "sophisticated" (a word that's lost its meaning anyway).

I feel so sorry for kids today. I can't imagine what they are going to look back fondly on 30 years from now.

"Remember that depressing cynical unfunny piece of garbage we watched?"

  • I feel bad for Melora. lol The king is all "I have no idea what you're saying." haha

    thank you for uploading!

the king is the same in Hey, Cinderella. I wonder if Melora is arthurs sister. ;)

  • If you dis frogs Robin, frogs will come and find you.

Oh, dude, I love the Frog song.

  • I'm 20 and she looks older than me, but I love her song

  • Robin finally found love!!

  • I love how the princess in this version of "The Frog Prince" is actually nice! In all the other versions she's such a bitch!

  • @marxfan8 Not in all of the versions...just most :)

  • 1:43: "the lily pads, and the ol' quagmire"

    giggedy giggedy goo!

  • I love Kermit! ahhaha. He's so funny. And I'm glad the prince could understand her speech~~

  • So her curse is to talk in spoonerisms? (look it up)

  • The princess's dialogue is SO funny but also complicated and the actress playing her pulls it off VERY well! Dell Wone! lol ^_^

  • "Frercy, a mog!"

I love this special, it's so cute! Thanks for posting!

    RIP, Mr. Henson.

  • when was thies made

  • 1971.

  • thanx

  • You're welcome. ^_^

  • at 9:20, you can see Taminella's hunch FAT Hump & the introduction of AUNTie' Taminella! lol ew lollY LOL!

  • but you've avoided all that, you're a frog & you've got it all, the lily pads & the quagmire! Kermit! lol

it's ever so jolly just being a frog

  • "my dear, if it were up to me, you could quee all the beans you wanted to"...::giggle, snort::

  • I wonder where the actress who played Melora is now??? Was this the only thing she did??? At first, for some reason when I first saw this when I was little, I always thought this was Elizabeth Montgomery. I don't know why. Then when I saw it later on, I saw that it wasn't.

  • why does she talk to funny again?

  • It's because of the enchantment.

  • "she talks wackbirds, i mean backwards!" lol

  • @StarlightHaven Correct. It was designed to make her speak sort of "Pig Latin". Weird, eh?

  • @wii1245 MMM HMM

  • Melora's dress makes her looks pregnant.

  • It reminds me of Thumbelina's dress from the Don Bluth animation. ^.^

  • it does look like it!

  • I'll be darned, it does. Good eyes.

  • :) Thanks. Obscure children's films are a specialty of mine.

  • Me too.

  • Aww Princess Melora is really pretty :)

  • hey i am experiencing problem in loading part 2.

  • "If it were up to me you could quee all the beans you wanted to." LOL

  • I can't believe the guy playing the prince was on "Dynasty"....

  • What was his name???

  • Gordon Thomson, better known as Adam Carrington.

  • Oh, ok. Thanks!

  • Oh god *has a flashback t0 10 years ago*

I used to sing with the princess. I woire out the videocasette we had recorded XD. This was my favorite story when i was little.

  • It kinda gets to mewhen that frog's eyes bulge

  • i love the frogs but that witch used to scare me

  • I grew up watching this movie.

I'm now 23 and agree they really don't make 'em like this anymore.

BAKE THE HALL IN THE CANDLE OF HER BRAIN!!

    Thankyou for posting this

    xxx

  • my sister and I used to talk to each other the way Malora talks, and we loved the song. I sang it on my 19th birthday. It brought back wonderful memories.

  • I care. I'm a 40 year old guy and I sing "N'Im Ineteen" all the time since I watched this video all the time when I was little. I also think about "Bake the hall in the candle of her brain" often.

  • Memories, my sister and I said "Nighty night sweetums" "Nighty Night Nice lady" For the first ten years of my life....

  • Soooooo many memories. They really don't make anything like this anymore. One of my few memories from childhood was the way the princess talked.

  • Aw you're welcome I'm glad I could make someone's day :-) I love this movie it's really cute. I'm 22 and saw it when I was about...6? I don't remember lol, I'll try getting that other one for you I been looking
