@dancerandvaulter Thanks for your posting. Yes, this music lends itself well to the movements of the horse. Are you going to post your freestyle routine with this song on your channel?
AJandBLuEy I Personally Found It Easier To Mount At A Canter Because As You Said It Is Really Smooth But It Just Depends How You Personally Find It. Another Tip. Stand As Close To The Girth As Possible. I Helps Alot !!

I have a few questions. I have been intrested in learning on my arabian(vaulting by the way) and i was wondering is it easier at the trot or canter? if so should i start out at a walk and then move up? or start on like a dummy or something?
Yes, it is better to start out at the walk so you can get your balance, etc. before you start trotting. Depending on your riding skills, a novice should probably start on a dummy. Good luck....
Thank you so much jazzdancer10! I am about to start vaulting and the thing that is worrying me is the mount. I'm not that strong but you seemed to give really good advice! And correct me if im worng but would it be easier at a canter than a trot cause I ride and a canter is much smoother and a trot is really bumpy! Thanks1

does snybody have any adnice on how to stand in canter. or to get on, i'm so close to getting on, i can get my leg over but it always slides back any advice would be appriciated =D =D xxxx
be really comfortable with standing in walk first. Instead of waiting untill you feel like you've lost your balance to make corrections make tiny ones every single stride by bending your knees more and correcting with your abs. the bigest most common thing with the mount is to make sure you're cantering with him on the way out. Match your inside foot to his inside front and listen to his movemnt.
love this! i love to vault you guys are pretty great. where is this?

@ilovestarandscout smaller horses have a shorter gait - so a larger horse typically can "glide" easier. Size is only relative at speed.
