I like this version but no-one can beat Edith Piaf's she sings it with such passion . After seeing La Vie En Rose I know now that Edith is singing this song to her lover Marcel who died in a plane crash , it's a sad song anyway but when I found this out I found it even sadder especially as I've recently got engaged .
the scene where she figures out marcel isn't there with her, and she had imagined him? and she screams about the watch she was to give him? i cried like a baby. that movie was beyond amazing.
Another wonderful interpretation and version of the Edith Piaf Classic. I love the English and the French Versions by everybody. Patti Labelle is still my favorite, but everyone's version is superb. What a wonderful song. It touches your heart and shakes your very soul.
