Many great pianists bond so much with the intrument is like they are part of it. Very serious guys. Not this one. He is really PLAYING the piano like a regular toy (not the other way around). What an honor having met Michel Camilo. We salute you from Dominican Republic.
I do agree, Rubalcaba is really better at this game, cause he's, little faster, and he's got a bigger sound, and more interesting rythmic and harmonic concepts. But for me, this two "GS' versions" are not under beauty's approach...it's only to please public found of sport amaaaaazing perfs...Charlie Flores on double bass is great.
We have to say Camilo and Rubalcaba, when they feel free to play real music for ears and not brain, are two of a few giants of music. Amaaaaazing :D :D :D
@ispianist Nop... Rubalcaba's is 360 bpm and this is 400 bpm, grab a metronome and see. Regarding which version you like the most that's ok because that is a matter of opinion

I love camilo but listen to Gonzalo Rubalcaba guys !
In this way of being president of the fastest and the most "complicated" pianist in playing "giant step", I thing Camilo doesnt match !

@Olugs
I believe that they're playing a little turn around whith the chords progression. And the rythm is "simply" 3 quarter notes with one silence
