At ashwini velankar. Mam you are absolutely right but only if the Microwave is more than 5 years old there is 35% possibility of Microwave leaks. These microwave radiations are odorless and colorless so it is hard to find out. So please do not use a microwave older than 5 to 6 years, If possible use conventional ovens. Now When plastic disintegrates it produces harmful gases. in microwaves the plastic disintegrates at a low rate hence it will cause respiratory/neurological disorder

Since microwave cooking is non ionizing process, it doesn't produces cancer causing free radicals. Microwaves used in this oven are of very low density photon energy witch produce only heat, nothing else. Plastic used in microwave safe plastic containers is food grade quality plastic. It doesn't contains any toxic plasticizers like DEHA (di-ethyl-hexyl- adipate) , they are safe. Don't use it for too hot things because they may destroy because of heat, not because of microwaves.
i tried preparing them, they turned out so yummy,My husband liked them very much. The method is so easy. Thanks a lot for such easy receipe.Need more microwave receipes for snacks items.
sudha ji i use to make dhokla withur recipe in microwave.but i always face one problem hope u will answer me.i make dhokla in round glass bowl ,it always remain undercooked or wet from bottom specially in centre of bowl.sides of bowl are normally dry n cooked.rather it leave the sides also.i have tried many times sometimes even for 2 or 3 more min.but problem remain the same.plz reply.thanx
Best and the most orignal recepie for dokhla, it was very quick to made and yummy, I was wondering , if I can add yougurt to it suhda ji, thanks a lot for sharing this recipe
I made dhokla in a 'diy' steamer and it was a disaster! I didn't you could make it in the microwave. I also used eno and tumeric and mine were red and hard!!
You must have used turmeric powder instead of lemon yellow colour. soda+turmeric gives red colour, so never use turmeric whenever using soda (in any recipe). If you don't have colour, do it without colour.
do you have this recipe printed anywhere? it looks delicious, but I do better with recipes when I have them written

Just for your information, microwaves are banned in Russia for potential health risks caused due to radiation heat.

1. You better try dhokla in flat plastic mould.
2. Give 3-4 minutes standing time and then remove from oven.
3. Place dhokla mold (with batter) on 1 inch heighted glass dish in oven.
