  • From the look of it, I've found this form to be very good for body strengthening, internal and external, especially the breathing techniques.

    Do you know anyone here, who you would recommend, teaches this form in NYC or where I can get a tutorial or lesson teaching it?

  • Iron wire is part breathing and part dynamic tension.

    dynamic tension is good to keep the small muscle fibers active and strong. When comes time to use short power, your small muscle fibers will already tuned for it.

    This is how tigers can remain strong without constantly running. They naturally use dynamic tension all the time.

  • Nice demo. Always this form is misunderstood by onlookers. Lam Sai Wing told students not to do this form in public because of its strangness. But today there are many Hung Kuen practitioners so it is good that they can see differents masters practice it.

  • @AlbertoRossitto Correction, Iron Wire came from Tiet Qiao San! He is the name sake of Iron Wire, Tiet Sin Kuen. Do Martial Artist learn the true and accurate history of the art they study anymore?

  • It's not to showy wich I like,but I think unless this was a ceromoney or something it could have been better with something for him to demonstrate on,like some boards or a bag.I suppose I should be happy people are still enjoying Iron Wire,thank's for uploading.

  • I'm sorry hgearangler,I ran out of space.Study Bruce Lee,he's the only fighting philosopher I could really get into.Not all martial arts are chinese,my personal favorite is Savate,and to truly "help you a better view" you should create your own style.Way of the Intercepting Fist or Jeet Kun Do was a recommended name Bruce regretted, due to the simple fact what worked for him does not work for everyone and the true journey of a warrior should be discovering your own flow.I hope I didn't shame you

  • when you focus in warrior, i believe you've wrong understanding what the chinese martial art is ~~~yes you could be good fighter , go the ring and taste blood from your opponent ~~ yes you're strong and mighty ~~ many people die early ~~~~

  • even bruce started with traditional martial arts. without traditional martial arts, people wouldn't be able to say find their own style. besides, even within a particular martial arts discipline, you have a chance to still determine how you would like to fight. forms help people fight and learn how to move and learn moves. just learning and teaching how to fight ALONE is not as efficient in my opinion. but, who cares if you like Savate and prefer Bruce Lee?

  • Wow,I just now found these I think. hgearangler , All that I meant by boards and bags is you can't find to many participants willing to take a full blow,therefore you can't show the true strength.I've been trying to do something on here similar to fight science with limitations and combinations of styles,but have yet found anyone willing to fight me week after week.I'm not sure what you meant by Titsinkeun either,I know what tits are,and I'm 18 as of the moment,but you've frankly confused me.

  • 18 ok, no wonder. Let me help you..this video shows the most advanced set of movements from the Hung Kuen style. This set doesnt look fancy as u correctly observed,thats because its internal. Its for all of us a privelege being able to see this on youtube..Tit sin kuen is cantonese and means iron thread fist..has nothing to do with tits but as u are so young its not so long ago when u consumed milk from them so I can understand ur thought. :) hope that helped a little....

  • You are correct, you just don't understand. You have to be in this type of style for the best benefits. ALL of the masters that practice live to be 100 years or close to it. Great grandmaster Lam Cho is 100 right now. Chiu Kao also came close to 100. If you know internal styles this goes against what you are taught. I wrote about this in Inside Kung Fu in 1987. It is more than a form with deep meaning and only students of the Hung style will benefit from it. People should not try to copy it.
