@SuperDylankirk Buddy the trick is called the "Benjamin Earl Four Ace reveal", as in Revealing four aces. He fucked up cuz you could see the moves but where in the title does it say "Revealed" or "Tutorial"?
If you have trouble hiding a palm, work on the tenkai palm, after your hand is behind your back you can shift it into the appropriate possition. Just need to work on being casual bro, as Ponta the Smith mentioned in an interview "Smoothness, then speed" (or something like that, his japanese grammar made him seem like yoda). Ponta might do coin magic, but same rule applies to cards.
erm, ok lemme just clear this up...anyone who actually knows benjamin earl will know that there are 2 factors that make this trick...one is that the deck can be borrowed, and two is that the cards are shuffled by the spectator first, then the trick is performed...
I've spoken to a few other magicians about this and I do have my own method for performing the trick (although it's not the same as Benjamin Earl)
@adrixs also adrixs has a point, if you do videos like this your only ruining the magic if your flashing all over the place. Watch the video before you post it
tambien adrixs tienes un punto, si haces videos como este solo es revelando la magica, mirar el video antes de podendo la en YouTube...
Penn argued the point of Ben using FC's (im not saying the actual name as it would ruin the sleight), and Ben denied it. Thus fooling Penn. You are using FC's, and may I say, you're not doing so very casually, you seem to have trouble with it. Also for the palming, since it was evident, you took too long with the cards their, I too have small hands, what I do is palm the card more to the left of my hand (Im left handed), but in your case, more towards your right. But practice makes perfect.
@Flamesyful Dude it was argued of "False Shuffles", false cuts. According to many card experts false cuts are counted as a completely seperate thing. Yes I wasn't great at false cuts back then but fuck it, i was pretty much starting to use them in my tricks! Thanks for the tip though, and I'll try and improve on this
At 1:31 you made a fatal slip, we can see you palming an ace. I think the whole trick is palming, and I'm gonna try to figure it out.. Anyway, can you post a tutorial? Thanks, keep up the good job!
@TheALmagician Yeah I knw! This is how i figured out the trick though and personally the best way I could do it at the start, Im way better at it now!
palming, if you happen to gesticulate when performing, mimic your gestures with a card in palm. And don't worry top much if a palm sort of flashes, eye contact with a person can very easily direct their attention else where while you perform the dirty deed. Sometimes misdirection isn't really about talking and making jokes, it's usually more so of your body language.
Benjamin Earl is fantastic, because he, like Banachek is one of the most subtle thinkers in magic there is. So just a tip; if you have a pack of cards in hand, when not practicing sleights, what is it you do? Study your own unconscious movements, and mimic them. That is what subtlety is all about. In the case of legerdemain type material, you want to make the sleight look as close as possible, if not identical to your own habitual movements. It needn't be invisible, just natural. Same with the
@shanepal3 What are you on about? I got Sympathy for the devil in one of my videos! That's the best mf song around! ANd i got me some hamlet rap in another video!
